Work life balance is good. No meetings after 6.30pm. No one will bother you on bank holidays. Health insurance cover is 10 lacs and it covers employee's parents as well Staff Loan:: Confirmed employees can get home loan at rate as low as 3%

CULTURE:: This bank doesn't have any standard policies to follow or a culture to cultivate and grow employees. Comparing other MNC banks this bank has the worst working culture in terms of values, respect and communication/ commitments from senior leadership. Korean GM & DGM are not really concerned about what's going on in their branch at the ground level. They are only concerned about profitability of the branch. . . JOB SECURITY is low:: Every branch of Shinhan Bank has GM & DGM who are Koreans. They have hire and fire culture if new joiner doesn't achieve targets in first six months. . . POLICY:: They don't have any standard policies like other banks. Policies are not followed as they are mentioned in the bank policy book/ system. Korean GM can alter/ change any policy as per his comfort. In short he is the owner of that branch. COMMITMENT:: Even though probation period is six months but most of the RMs are not confirmed even after 1.5 years of service in this bank because GM is not satisfied with their performance. So you can imagine what kind of culture and commitment they have. . . AUTOCRATIC environment:: All of Indian managers are for the name sake and they are there just to take reporting of their subordinates. All the major decisions are taken by KOREAN GM & DGM irrepsective of what Indian managers have to say about that. Indian manager's opinion doesn't really matter. . . GROWTH is below average when it comes to appraisals or internal role change opportunities. Learning is very limited. . . Korean people will always keep the charge of every branch in India. They don't understand Indian market and hence they don't know what it takes to sell the products of unknown bank in Indian market. Shinhan bank has very poor visibility in Indian Consumer Market. Shinhan bank is in India just to help and focus on Korean companies for their corporate banking needs. . . . In short, every branch is like a proprietorship firm where GM is a proprietor and everyone else just nods their heads to whatever GM says.
