Disappointing Interview Experience with D.E. Shaw

I recently interviewed with D.E. Shaw, and it turned out to be one of the most draining experiences I’ve had. The interviewer’s approach felt unnecessarily harsh and dismissive, which made the entire process uncomfortable. At multiple points, the interviewer asked me to drop off the call, even when I tried asking basic questions about the designation, job description, and other details. After the interview, I found myself sitting there for a few minutes, trying to process what just happened. It left me questioning the overall tone and professionalism of the interview. Definitely not the experience I was expecting from such a well-known firm.

Beware of this company - they are unprofessional and unreliable Ambition box let interviewees post their reviews, how can they say started work on and employment ended on(you cant post the review until you fill these) when they just attended the interview and come to know that this company is unreliable. I had an interview with this company , but after the interview, i never received any feedback or communication from them. Despite reaching out multiple times via email to inquire about the status of my application, i was completely ignored.its clear that they have no regard for candidates' time and effort. Their low ratings and poor reviews are a reflection of their unprofessionalism, and i strongly advise others to avoid engaging with them.
