We have good work life balance at persistent but it will totally depend on your project. Apart from this we food and other cultural activities are good & also they focus on upskilling activities.

As growing company it's good but management is different project wise. Some are toxic and some are cool.

Dislikes

No Proper appraisal, no work life balance left. No job security left. Just work or get ready to layoff. Why to come to office if you have to work 12 hrs a day.

It's is besically a Dada-Bhaiya Company(People have settled down here with family). Politics is everywhere. Groupsim is on the top. HR might call you to help you resign anytime(Poor performance may be given as a reason).

1) If your project gets over, you need to find your next project. RM is present but they don't put any effort. If you are not able to get onto a project in 3 months, due to any reason, you are asked to leave. 2) If you are not a sycophant and don't bootlick/flatter your manager/superior, don't expect any performance raise. 3) DirectProject managers/Heads may speak to you once or twice a year. All feedback is got from project leads or Work managers. So you need to be a yes-man/woman and accept everything that the lead /work manager says if you want positive feedback. 4) KRA's will be assigned to you (which cannot be measured quantitatively) so even if you feel that you have done good throughout the year, you will be appraised wrongly and will not get a proper raise. There may not be any appraisal meeting as well, and an appraisal for you will be just submitting a form electronically. 5) If you need anything from Finance, HR, Operations departments, be prepared to send several emails and do exhaustive follow up, as they just do not reply. You will be lucky if you get a reply in 2-3 weeks. 6) If you are on board a Customer project, be prepared to stretch for 13-14 hours (and more) if your Customer is in PST time zone. 7) A lot of back-biting is present. Your peers and immediate seniors will smile on your face but may speak negative about you when asked for a feedback during the performance appraisal (happens a lot across projects). 8) If you have leaves, don't expect that you will be able to take one easily as your project manager will try his/her best to dissuade you from taking leave, when you want, citing billing as an issue. 9) Don't expect anything to learn apart from your regular project work. No worklife balance, they won't care about your career. Won't take care of your well being. You are just a labor for them they use to complete their Project that's it. No Job security, No Project Opportunities. They will hire you and keep you on bench if you don't get project within 60 days they will ask you to resign. or they will force you to join some Project where you don't have skillset.

The only good thing in Persistent Systems is the wfh flexibility but you have to pay the price for that.

I cant mention 1 or 2 things because everything is bad in this company. Your career depends upon your lead/manager who are good for nothing. Whenever you gets stuck at something you will be asked to do it but at the same time your so called technical lead womt help you and ask you to Google it. You will not get any help on anything but your appraisal will be done on 1 or 2 mistakes which you have done in the complete appraisal cycle irrespective of 1000 good works you have done....Read More

Dislikes

The management doesn't response properly. No updates will be given for projects once you have given any interviews. HRs doesn't response properly. There is no job security, if you are on bench for more than 45, 60, 90 days (Depending) they'll ask for resignation.

Work life balance is good , Less managerial politics as compared to other companies.

Dislikes

Promotion opportunity is less, Quarterly assessment and highest you could get 11%, Annoying constant trainings which hinders project productivity.
