Great learning platform with lots of policies to be learnt and followed. Novartis is one of the best organisation to work with, people with Novartis are very intelligent and supportive, I feel, if anyone wish to learn business acumen and moral responsibility together they should work in Novartis for onces.

Dislikes

Cons: The pharmaceutical industry can be highly regulated, and employees at Novartis may face a complex and sometimes challenging regulatory environment. Like many large corporations, Novartis has a complex organizational structure, which may lead to bureaucratic processes and slow decision-making.

Work life balance as there is very less work, hardly 2-3 hours of work daily on an average. But this is also very bad if you want to learn and grow....

Full of politics, whole senior management is busy in politics and buttering. If you are in their good books then you will get promotion otherwise no scope at all...

Nothing. It is one of the most unethical companies that I have ever worked for in my entire career. The organisation is completely controlled by the P&O HR who promote a culture of non performance and have successfully converted Novartis into a mediocre organisation.

Dislikes

Everything. Conflicting policies, lack of decision making even on basic operational matters. Highly paid senior leaders while away their time in their favorite coffee shop creating useless presentations instead of really understanding the business. Most of the leaders perform roles of project coordinators who do not take any accountability for the business and do not bother about the patient.

Novartis as an organization is now going down the dumps owing to non value added work work and extreme politics - irrespective of their communications team trying their best to showcase a jazzy culture. Stay away if you have better alternatives..

The work life balance and time flexibility are two main things I liked most. Also, for projects they make understood us what to do for first time and you can reach to anyone when needed, but unlike other companies higher authorities don’t come to individual for regular updates rather they took from seniors ;which I think it’s a very good approach.

Salary hikes are not that much.

Global company in true sense, good policy percolation to all countries, good employee centric policies, good learning platform, global exposure both geographically and via colleagues, good work life balance, active employee support programs which are globally managed, digital uptake is good and thus lot of tools available

Dislikes

Few leaders are managing functions they don't have a background or are poor skilled, have hired skilled subordinates, yet managing them and want to give active decisions to team without having domain knowledge. So political management, buttering managers is what happens. Not all teams are like this but some definitely are giving poor exposure. 1. TFG - Heavy cost-cutting. Clearly visible in various aspects 2. Sandoz division spin-off 3. Too much hiring from some orgs (ZS, IQVIA). People from those places bring & spread their toxic servicing client mentality (especially for IQVIA). Eventually this led to some sort of micro-management. 4. No free food. Paid food is overpriced and has no taste No cab for regular shift people. 5. SNOW - pathetic project creation tool. 6. Productivity goes for a toss as there are so many formalities 7.
