I was part of the risk & finance team and enjoyed working for the tenure of 5 years. What I liked most is the company work culture with good leadership and supportive colleagues and open collaborative work culture. There is enough scope of learning. Aother plus point was the reward and recognition used often to motivate the employees

Dislikes

Compensation is decent. Work pressure is high.Offshore team is India isnt given better quality work although capable. No onsite travel to experience global work culture and environment.

Salary is decent compared to industry average. Also, You don’t need to worry about the job security unless you are really bad. Work life balance depends on which line of business and what team are you working.

Dislikes

Promotions are too slow compared to your peers in US or UK. A person will stay as an Analyst or Associate for years and your peer will become a Vice President or even an Executive Director within the same timelines. Your promotions are hardly based on your performance and mostly based on how much good relationship you have with your manager and how much the management has endorsed you as a brand.

Everything depends on your Manager. And all are so insecure that if they see you as a competition then they will turn your life upside down by misusing their power. Very Toxic, in the name of learning curve, they will put you in the harsh environment and there would be no room for errors. For brand name it is good, else in the name of learning, they are using old tools only. Service based companies used far better and latest technologies. You will hired of your qualifications and your your areas of expertise. But their work is completely opposite of what you already know. You POV doesn’t matter even if it makes sense.

The organisation has a great culture, multiple learning opportunities, job security and ability to switch internally to explore different line of work and broaden one’s skills

Dislikes

The work life balance takes a toll on demanding days. You have to have a good networking skill to outshine others and should have a great negotiation skill deal with the pay structure.

Worst Work culture. No support from managers. Deployments on almost every weekend. None of the infrastructure works in so called “Tech” organisation. They are ready to spend on paid tools and expensive infrastructure but dont know how to use/leverage them. If you are the looking for a Technical role, JP is not the one for you. Too much politics, Directors and MDs are actual cancer in the audit department. They are not moving and have rigid mindset. Running Audit department of the top most MNC bank like a lala company. Indian management is mostly internally promoted for new function. Hence they don’t posses required knowledge and appear incompetent at times

They invest heavily on technology education and upgradation of employee skill set.

Dislikes

Managers are often baised during appraisal times and you need to be very very careful during appraisal times as even ine single small mistake can be catastrophic and lead to termination if you are not in your manager good books.
