There are multiple points I want to say 1) 15 to 16 hours is very common to be working in Morgan Stanley which could easily eradicate the work life balance from your life. 2) Here in Morgan Stanley, director or manager does not know anything about processing but only knows checking and reviewing if you go to them and ask your question then they will ask you that to resolve the issues by yourself and they are not going to help you anymore because they don't know anything about processing and the process as well and they will expect associate and analyse to perform the work well rather than depending on director for any help. 3) there were 20 team member in my team if you want any leave you need to ensure that only 1 people are on leave then only you are eligible for the leave. 4) Layoff is very common that is no job security and manager Will threaten you to to terminate immediately if layoff hit the organisation they will not take care whether you are a good performa or bad 5) when I submitted the resignation apart from me around 7 more peoples submitted the resignation and I have personally observe that people leave the organisation after completing one year or 1 year and half. 6). If you are expecting work life balance health environment and good cultural organisation than this organisation is not for you and requesting you please don't join this toxic organisation believe me you will leave the organisation after one year and less than that. 7) they target the employee and put them into bell curve means no bonus or hike at the year end no matter how much you have given to organisation. 8). I used to go for catchup with my manager and every time she said your performing is not good and your performance is still not inline with our expectations and their also tone you with your designation and sending an performance email two times in every week as a evidence so that they can present this email at your end discussion and giving you nothing. 09) there is no picnic no entertainment and no get together with the team because everyone remain frustrated with this toxic environment. 10) in my 3 year tenure, I have seen around 30 people coming and going from my team due to all this issues 11) I just wanted to put one more point over here is that I had to leave the organisation without getting any job offer which was very frustrating for me because I was already occupied with bank EMI family responsibility and much more thing but I did not have any other option to maintain mental stability. Personal suggestion :- If you have strong capability to deal with above mentioned point and ready to work for 15 to 16 hours on daily basis in this stressful environment with no yearly bonus and hike then this organisation is for you. Lastly only I know what I faced in Morgan Stanley it was more like Darkest Dream and I spent sleepless nights finally after leaving this firm i got freedom. Now I am a manager and enjoying my life and leaving happily and peacefully 😊😀😀😀...Read More

1. Corporate Bullying by some superiors 2. Bad training by trainee 3. Abusive language by trainee 4. Seniors expect quick results from some analysts but not from others(unequal treatment) 5. Seniors egotistically complain to HR that I am attacking them with words although I am asking a doubt.(It is like they don’t know the answer tothe doubt; just turn it towards me) 6. No one was there to guide me to my desk on the starting day. I made calls to all the HRs (who had contacted me for the job) but no one answered. I somehow managed to get a number of a random person sitting in Bangalore who called the concerned person to get me. I had to wait for 1 hour in the lobby. My manager was supposed to escort me to the floor but he was on holiday. 7. The IT team told me that the work setup will be delivered at home before my starting day. But it got delivered 1 month after my starting day. I raised many queries in the meantime. But my other colleagues had got their setup before their start. 8. The HRs did not pick or return my call till my starting day. There was nothing to get my queries resolved. They hardly replied to my mails asking for a callback. 9. The HR asked twice for my credentials for background verification.(And the senior expects me, a fresher, to be perfect at my work at the onset) 10. 3 of the seniors always pressurised me to be perfect because I am a qualified professional but did not pressure other analysts who had same qualifications as me. One of them commented that I don’t look like I am interested in work and always on mobile even I wasn’t. I swear to God, I wasn’t on my mobile for more than 5 mins a day; but my colleagues used to constantly use mobile. Even though I was excited for work, the seniors demotivated me everytime. 11. All of my team colleagues were frustrated at those seniors. Even a colleague(considered fantastic in work) from another team refused the offer to be on my team. 12. They will promote only those people who are dear to them whether or not they are capable....Read More

1. People are paid premium payment to be a slave. 2. Unfair in terms of how employees and employer relation is seen by the company. 3. Large number of people are made to work 12 to 16 hrs a day. 4. Managers tend to want to hear 'ok' and 'yes' to everything, specially the Indian managers. 5. US managers tend to do more showoff than real stuff. 6. The probation period is to harass employees and make them work exactly how their managers would like to see them working. 7. Negativity and High headedness are the characteristics of the managers. 8. Since fulltime employees are not looking to work more hours, contractors are being deployed who would be more ready to put long hours. 9. Expectations from employees are unrealistic. 10. HR department is just enabler for business department and is not there to assist the employees. 11. Company does not really care about your career, health, or other things.
