Way too much process, half the time you'll be doing non research related work because it's the way they work. And worst part is there's no help if you get stuck. Lot of things like filling up a buggy and long quotation form and fighting with many teams to get approvals or just get them to do their work is a real pain. If anything atall got side ways you're blamed. RPM is a total waste of resource for quant research.

Dislikes
There is no proper team onboarding or knowledge transfer on projects. No training or even guidance at team level on internal process which there is lot of. I feel seniors can use a bit of a friendly attitude.
Internal communication is a huge challenge.
The whole thing is very confidence eroding.
