Note : I was not laid-off, I decided to leave due to the poor culture and lack of growth in this company. Hence, I am not someone who is looking out to vent over here but rather want to tell people (whoever reads this) to stay away from this company. PS : Putting this first because after this, the HR department might post fake 5 star reviews boasting about the company’s values and culture. Let me jot down what this company is about. 1) HR - The worst HR department that I have ever come across or you can say that I have never seen HR department so pathetic. They literally ask you to write good reviews about the company on LinkedIn, Job boards etc. even though it’s just been a day or two in the firm. I wish I could attach screenshots of emails, chats so that people can the HR department of Indegene. DON’T BELIEVE ANY GOOD REVIEW. THEY ARE FORCED AND PROBABLY WRITTEN BY THE HR DEPARTMENT OR BY EMPLOYEES WHO ARE ASKED TO DO SO BY THE HR. 2) Management and Colleagues - By far, one of the coldest people you can come across. No empathy, no lack of compassion or no concern whatsoever for your private life. Forget 9 to 5 or if you believe you’ll work for 9 hours and you’re done. You need to work minimum of 12 and it can go up to maximum of 18 hours as well. And then if you convey that you cannot work for long, they’ll just tell you this - “If you cannot finished the assigned tasks within 9 hours, you have to definitely push. You don’t get your way in life, you need to work hard for it.” So people, forget your personal life and health. And the best part is - NO OVERTIME PAY. Yes you read that write. My colleagues would get hospitalised frequently due to the pressure. And guys, thinking of a promotion? Well, get ready to wait for a minimum of 3-4 years. Be a bootlicker if you are a manager pleaser, maybe you’ll get it within 2 years. I got to experience one hike - the number is worse than you think. 3) Culture - They say that they value the employees well-being and stuff, maybe that’s what the founders (executive management) genuinely wants for it’s employees but guys, your - Team Leads, Managers, Senior Managers will eat you up. If you want to burn, do join this company. For someone like me who can hustle to push my limits and look for growth and yet see no fruit, you can imagine how pathetic this company is - and by that please do consider the management of the company and not its leaders who want their company to succeed. This is how they lay off 80% of their workforce They prepare a list of layoff candidates in every Q4 which may contain highly appreciated candidates by clients or good performers, maybe with higher margins, projects are off and there is no other visibility of the project. Lists were circulated to all the senior managers. Based on this list, these candidates will be provided the worst ratings by their respective managers as they discuss these ratings. Story of feedback generated (AKA constructive feedback) depending upon the rating given for the recent work. So this is the reverse process of PIP and giving feedback. So many traps and tracks they put. The reviewer cannot rate a writer's work without discussing ratings with the manager. Is it a fair rating process?...Read More

Good candidates are removed off and on just for their fair margins with the cut-throat practice of PIP. No human rights with human resources. Only fair criteria if you are from Karnataka or belong to a similar or very much needed/liked by the manager? No, any other criteria can help you to win here. Clients are leaving the project due to too high quotation rates than the market. No big deals or projects that can hold the recklessly hired workforce. All the resource jobs are at stake as there is an unstable workflow for associates, an incapable sales and marketing team and worthless management. If you are an Indegene associate and have not received work for 1 week try searching somewhere else as the next list will include your name too....Read More
