All depends on the manager attitude. If you are lucky, you get energetic Manager and you can do innovations. If you get an ordinary manager then blames will be on your way. Zero appreciation but 100% discouragement.

Nothing wrong. There are few unqualified managers who make everything worst. It will happen only for bad luck people as most are Good
