Job security is good in HCL.

HRs are biased. Management very poor. If employee wants to buy out notice period they don't release them and make sure that employee lose their opportunities in better company. Salary process is very poor and compensation released after 1.5 years. Even they don't give the promotion if employee gets in notice period. They don't givepromotion on skill and hard work basis. Company is an excellent, female’s employees are over protected by the organisation. Company has health insurance that is very useful. They have so many benefits for pregnant ladies like insurance also in cabs they will carefully taken care. Infrastructure is awesome.

Dislikes

HR will not respond properly. No one will question what every happen inside the project. Some managers are from heaven so no one can ask anything to them even they hurt the employees emotionally inside the project. There is no rules for the heavenly managers.

Manager given too much power even if he's incompetent, HR non existent , too much politics like manager can twist company policies against u and there is no check. Leadership needs to be more competent. New comer less experience, average performance, but managers favorite will get appraisal in first few months even. Females dont have general shifts when they become mothers so that they will not use the day care facility from the co. And it will impact to the womens employess work performance to their project.

Perks and benefits are not good and deduction in salary on the basis of performance which is not good by compony . Every employee wants more and more hikes and who do not perform well for money . Who wants deduction but compony policy is to deduct from variables on the basis of performance .washrooms and breakout area are not hygienic .

CEO gets 190% Hike where as an employee who got 9.4 rating out of 10 gets zero Hike.

No guarantee of promotion, very little hike or no hike, almost zero employee benefits (except medical), very difficult to get even small things like stationeries, printout, micro management.

If you are mechanical engineer then please do job in small scale industries but dont join this HCL as mechanical engineer. They dont give hikes more than 3% on your CTC. Be jobless and frustrated but once you join, its more frustrating than being jobless

Managers will never promote you instead rate you below so that you will never get hike. Managers think they are owners of company. Never value your skills as fresher if you ask they will put in Service desk. No skill fresher will be in developer roles. Skilled fresher will be in Service desk/ Supporting roles
