The ever leading topic of notice period
I am working currently as a team lead for hcl and since idiotically I didn't switch any companies from start 2019 till now, I have a measly ctc of 4.3 lpa.
I got an offer accepting 8lpa , but they are demanding to join in 15 days. And hcltech, being the company it is, is having 90 days notice period, negotiable to 60 days only.
Initial negotiation with my current manager and the new company hr didn't go over that well, I am in a bind now.
Any suggestions?

Have you tried escalating it to hr or negotiating a partial work from home option? 🤔

How to Deal with a Chatty Colleague?
Okay, so I have this colleague sitting right in front of me, and he doesn’t stop talking all day. I’ve tried putting on headphones, but this guy still waves his hands in front of my face like, “Oye Oye, ek baat sun !” Leaving my desk isn’t an option because my work would suffer, and there’s no extra space in the office to relocate. How do I politely deal with this without causing awkwardness or making it seem like I’m being rude?
I'm getting a good offer after joining a company. It's been 10 days only . Can i leave it?
I recently joined a new company, and within 10 days, I received a more attractive offer from another company. Can I resign without serving the notice period? Would declining any salary and relieving letter (Experience Letter) it easier for the company to agree to my departure?
Zomato's Apology🫨
I recently came across a post about Zomato. They added an extra fee for their vegetarian delivery service, which upset a lot of vegetarians. Many felt it was like a "luxury tax" for choosing plant-based meals. The good news? Zomato’s CEO, Deepinder Goyal, has already apologized for the move and assured everyone it’ll be fixed soon. It’s great to see quick accountability and a willingness to address concerns. What are your thoughts on this kind of pricing adjustment and Zomato’s response?
Stuck from 2.6 years without hike and promotion
I have been working at my current organization for 2.6 years and started with a CTC of ₹8 lakh, which has remained unchanged since my joining. During this period, I have not received any promotions or salary hikes, which has made me question whether I should wait for growth within the company or explore external opportunities.I am hopeful of getting a promotion in June this year, but I am unsure if it’s worth waiting for. Here’s what I am considering:1. Stay and wait for the promotion: There’s a...
