I have worked with EY for approximately 5 years and felt at comfort with few managers since they were very cooperative and understanding. The company promotes culture of flexible working hours in some teams.

Dislikes

1. Undue work pressure in non busy seasons and not letting charge time 2. Huge politics during promotions and increment cycle end. 3. Mental pressure due to unrealistic deadlines. 4. Leadership misuses their power to shut down employees raising voices against malpractices. 5. EY GDS not always following global audit guidelines.

Dislikes

Long work hours, pays far lesser than industry standards, back end team for US (though the learning curve depends team to team), sub standard other fringe benefits, favouritism at some levels, managers put their own admin work on seniors and staffs

There is no work life balance and seniors and managers are very unsupportive, always terget the colleagues. Internal politics are the major part of the EY. All the employees who working 10years continually they treat ourselves as the CEO of this company. Overall I do not recommend anyone to working with this organisation. Especially EY GDS Gurgaon based location.

EY GDS is not what I was used to be prior covid. Many things have changed, too much internal politics, Team size have gone big which is impacting the overall culture and people have come up with their own ways to woo the higher managers/leadership and get a floor visibility. So its a harsh truth but yes its a fact.

Dislikes

People who are working here for more than 12-15 years have now moved to a leadership position. Now all they themselves are interested in pursuing their own hobbies (oustside work e.g. Yogam Travelling, Blogging, Youtube, etc) and expect juniors to work 24x7

- On learning side, learn whatever you want. - Brand Name (Although internal people itself don't respect) - Big exposure to enterprise level clients (But useless, as of poor leadership and political, insecure people) - EY as a brand is the best, but internal managers and leadership is itself chewing EY's real value, as per legal rights in india no one can do job and own a business, but managers stole ideas from team then invest in idea and running businesses side by side, on other hand team who don't know anything, steal ideas from other member and get fav of their managers. Monopoly and insecurity is teams goals and achievements year by year. - Also managers showing expertise in HCI, actually sell ideas and innovation illegally to HCI, every year forcing people of team by other fav team members to join HCI conference on personal basis but working on ideas from EY's systems then submitting them too from EY systems later sell ideas from whatsApp groups teams makes....Read More

- Insecure leadership and senior level professionals - Silent harassments at every level if you don't be favorite of seniors and leadership - Fake expertise - Worst culture - Non-Visionary leadership & management - If EY's partners level people are un-biased and focus on true leadership, fake management can be removed and EY can achieve greater business value, which is being used for personal matters. (My 5 Ideas got sold by management for greater money value instead of working on them in EY, still we can't report for our job safety because everyone is silently makes joint profits) - Micro management by team members to be in the fav list of managers/SM/ED's, where they itself on side coin insults those managers, Better Advice: Come to office sit quietly, work and leave. - Policy of no tolerance on wrong, still SM's itself guide in calls to help in clearing internal exams and help seniors in their projects, if u want project from that SM. - Promotions & better financial health are only for fav people of M/SM/ED's, even they don't get compliant every year, stating they're senior's and are experts & even training for financial savings is only given to Seniors and above from partners. - M/SM/Ed's only bring projects for their favorites. - Forcing complaint in certifications every year from team side is always for Staffs ONLY neither seniors, nor M/SM/ED's....Read More

Bucketing for higher managers for promotion and other benifits, while leaving the company the employees used to give feedback but HR team won't consider instead support with respective team managers only. They don't have a proper organisational hierarchy. Only considering clients, does have zero care about employees. Some indecent managers are sitting on the top doesn't have any technical knowledge can only micromanage and escalate. No work life balance, hardly any skill development. Very bad work culture.

Hybrid , no fix time to stay in office, Managers are good and supportive.

Dislikes

In GMS don't have expect good hike.From last 2 years we are getting single digit hike. Your salary will be far away from market standard if you join EY GDS. Don't expect promotions. Everyone is leaving and attrition rate is high due to low hike.
