You will get to learn a lot if you're working in IT. Things like Devops, Server Side, Development, and more.

I joined as a trainee developer and I know someone who joined as a trainee as well but did not get promoted to full even after being trainee for 1.5 years. These people will make you do all the hard work and won't even promote your role as a trainee to full time. Unrealistic deadlines are set by people who don't know about the deadlines. Failing to meet the requirements within the deadline, you won't get promoted to full time employee and still be a trainee. The salary is awful for a fresher, which may get incremented by a very small amount. You will most probably have to stretch on weekends if you're in IT in this organization. They expect you to develop and test thoroughly and expect quick deliveries....Read More

New Job, Higher Pay, Now I’m Feeling Awkward

I’ve been at my new job for about six months now, and everything’s been going great! I’m getting positive feedback from my manager, and I get along well with the team. The thing is, when I started, my salary offer ended up being much higher than the initial number discussed during my interview. I didn’t negotiate and just accepted the offer. So, fast forward to happy hour with the team, and the topic of salary comes up. I, unfortunately, shared what I’m making, and let’s just say... it didn’t sit well with the others who have been on the team for years and make less than me. They weren’t mad at me, but now I’m feeling a bit uncomfortable and unsure how to handle this situation. Has anyone had something like this happen? How did you deal with it? Let’s chat!
