Policies are good but hr is external and for technical roles the responsibilities are not clear.

Promotion and IJP happens how much you are able to butterify your seniors. You capability, skillset and commitment to job is not important. There is no specific criteria. The better you blabber the more visibility. Technology, automation, AI are just buzz words not actually Pathetic place!
No flexibility in terms of number of hours, number of days you are required to be in office. Soon Bank will ask to pay for coffee from vending machines due to cost cutting. Pathetic transport system, bathrooom stinks, no hygiene, water dispensers would be 'under maintenance ' for months. While policies are good but managers specifically old timers in this organization ensure to create their own crap culture thereby deteriorating organizations value as well. Did not enjoy my 4 year long stint here.
1) do not join the Mumbai based loans team its flooded with old timers and runs with terrible favoritism and groupism. Unless you are a very good slave and excellent at sycophany only than you can survive. 2) owing to predominant favoritism you will face bias in every fronts including work allocation, appraisals, promotions etc. 3)No job security . 4) all managers who are old timers have created their own beyond tolerance culture, so ensure you ask during your interview how old is your manager in the organization as HR is pretty useless. 5) very bad appraisals, almost nill. 6) flexibility is provided to managers favorites only. Rest continue to suffer. 7) The bias will want to make you quit once and for all. 8) managers are not knowledgeable, specifically old timers. They exists to remove life out of your body because you will give them status updates of ongoings endlessly but given their limited knowledge they won't take a minute before throwing under the bus when situation arises. The company had a very good Culture. Had very inspiring leaders. We had good learning and all the above things from process to personal front we saw growth .We were respected. people were Transperent and got timely and effective feed back. Leaders were ready to guide you.
Bank has promoted people left and right. Diversity candidate are immature and are not able to play the leadership roles effectively. Heavy dependency on office politics and groupism at leadership levels. Lack of proper work allocation leading to people working 14 to 15 hours including Saturday's. Leadership has become un approachable. No one is ready to handhold and train. Associates and tenured employees do not pass on the KT. Use this to bully new joiners. People are screamed at when approached for doubts on process. Promotion are based on manager discretion and no proper evaluation. If one is good at process he gets the go. People skills will take back seat. Key man dependency is seen everywhere. Seniors don't communicate respectfully to the juniors. The work culture was great.
No better hike,no promotion despite working for Deutsche Bank for 6 years. Few people even if they are good at work and have a great amount of experience in handling products but their culture and communication are really poor towards their fellow colleagues.

No likes as such I could find during my engagement.
Pathetic work culture and old timers are only interested in playing office politics and doing micro management. Non transparent policies and head heavy organisation. During recruitment HR promises career progression and try to fit a level lower but due to lack of transparency promotion etc. are distant myth for new recruits.

The organisation is goal oriented and the goals are communicated clearly. Most leaders are not micro managers and give a platform for the teams to grow.
The salary hike in India has been terrible over the last 3 years. Even though the company makes unprecedented profits it is not shared with the employees. The bonus payouts are very bad as well at all levels if compared to other international banks.

Upskilling learning opportunities also available in plenty. Very involved senior leadership and Management Board with many interaction programs. There's connectedness here.
Need some level of more transparent communication that is agreeable to senior management to better cascade changes to teams, so that changes are not viewed as sudden and chaotic. Rest all is good.
