Really comfortable environment which allows you to manage your personal commitments without any pushback. Freedom in how and when we work, especially compared to similar profiles outside Deloitte.

Dislikes

Due to saturation, growth opportunities are limited. The evaluation process is quite frankly a black box and difficult to gauge how to get ahead of expectations to be promoted.

Dislikes

The culture, people have normalized working 12-16 hours everyday. And expect everyone do it on a daily basis and work on weekends. Plus they create a false sense of urgency

Although it's a project specific thing, but you can manage your work life balance in most of the projects for majority of the days. Company policies are mostly good from well being point of view.

1. Project switch is extremely difficult if you are a good resource. Working at a boring PMO work can affect your career. 2. Decisions are extremely dependent on Partners. So partner's ego is a huge thing you need to take care of. If you change your project team and partner, most likely the partner will come back to your appraisal and ruin it. 3. It's getting very much operate focused now-a-days. Competing with TCS, Wipro mostly. Strategic advisory part has squeezed a lot. If you are a top tier MBA, Deloitte is definitely not a place for you now. 4. Salary is more than other Big4, but far less than other Tier A consulting firms. 5. Some of the P/D/ADs are very inefficient and slow in getting new client/project/doing regular job, and dependency on them is high. So many times you will get frustrated 6. Long working hours, work life balance. Rude behaviors of some managers. Not all of them are same but as managers they need to invest time in their subordinates career progression. There is no 360 feedback process.

Company culture is good and lots of learning opportunities. Infact it is encourage to get certified and large monetary awards are also provided if you get certified in the correct technology as per your level.

Degrading benefits and hikes as the headcount keeps increasing. Good talent keeps leaving the firm for better opportunities and the new hires haven't generally been as good in the last 2-3 years.
