Not much learning after a while you are doing all the same kind of work Not good tech stack and company don't value good employee and technical expertise. They more focus on showoffs As a tech person u can get more pay outside and they don't care about good talent

Great work life balance actually so good that you may don't even have any job to do but to only hangout with friends/colleagues.

Learning growth is very poor, will suggest entry level job seekers to stay away from this org, that's what is happening to me right now actually..:( Favoritism is a major setback as only those who are somehow made a good impression would only enjoy their life. Company did hired like a mass recruiter few years back because of whichthey are laying off employees and making them resign by putting them in PIP, you won't even understand for which reason you were put into PIP as no proper work was ever given in the whole year! You might get hired as a Java Full Stack developer but you might end up checking logs and writing Juints for older code base! And the worst off all they would expect you to be on par with those working as a proper developer with a real job to do! Redudancies are impacting resources in last 2 years. They are backfilling resources at highers rates from vendors by removing employees. Also capable and deserving males are not getting promotions as most of the positions are reserved for diversity.

Barclays at over all corporate level have good policies

In Barclays, there is no or weak HR, line manager are made without their skills and caliber, Line manager post is more on favouritism rather than those who deserve it. Line manager make their own rules and decisions and no work ethics i have seen.

People friendly atmosphere and also they provide cab facilities and one time meal which actually is a good option to survive there

Appraisals are not nice and if an employee is facing any hardships in his or her profile they hardly take any action just to support them in terms of moving that employee to some other profile so that it wouldn’t cause them mentally pressure

Pathetic management, when they want to cut cost they use issuing pip as tool to cut hike and bonus they never spend on anything be it skill development, departmental events, or any other perk don't recommend working here.

The company culture is very good. The transportation service is absolutely free and top notch. The office at pune is a great architecture.

I work in Barclays LTS office, Pune. GTIS in Barclays is the worst department to work with. I would suggest better to work with other departments rather than working in GTIS. Appraisal and promotions are very less as compared to other departments. During Diwali and Christmas as well management of GTIS gives nothing to it's employeesnor sweets nor gifts. During year end review management has only one reason that company is in loss so less increment this year but people working in management get good humesha. Every year we got to know the same reason from the management. Very less bonus is given , in that too half of the bonus is deducted in Tax 🥺 Barclays GTIS is doing much of the cost cutting. Office politics and feviritism is also the other problem here. They give less respect for the people working for more than 10 years. They get very less increment as compared to the one who are newly hired. I have been working in Barclays for more than 10 years still my monthly in-hand salary is less than 1 lac which is so much disappointing to me. The office space is good, work is intresting if your teams works on solving for core banking technologies, pay is average but if you bargain hard there is a chance they might stretch their budget. Team cultures is pretty laid back with middle aged folks who want to settle in their roles.

Dislikes

There's a fair amount of office politics, people usually settle into their role and don't adapt quickly to new technologies and being a bank innovative solutions take a back step and all the soltions have to be vetted for security approvals
