The open culture at amex is really good. You get opportunities to interact with senior VPs one-o-one. Learning and Development programs for colleagues gives immense opportunities to learn and grow. Colleague Care is one of their top most priority.

Dislikes

Being on a technology or engineering role, you might feel left behind. Product team is the face of the team. It has an upper hand on managing resourcing and talent.

Company culture is fine as they provide free meals( which aren't that good), team leaders are supportive but they can't really do much as company policies are harsh. Nobody calls you after work, no unnecessary bothering

Dislikes

Appraisal are not good, most processes have been automated. You are supposed to work like a robot and work on UPH, its more like a competition then a healthy workplace. Every day you want to quit this toxic workplace, I don't recommend this to anyone. If you have good skills choose a better or ganisation</mark>. Learning curve is good, Gbt Product is complex and interesting. C-suite management has clear vision and well defined roadmap.

Managerial roles from India geolocation ill/under trained, usually they are promoted to manager role for reasons - They have product knowledge as they would spent 10+ years in org. Seriously lacking work ethics and standards. My higher up manager was literally unable to meet the higher up expectations and would add undue pressure and treat team members not less than master/slave approach. So one should have great emotional intelligence to work with ill trained managers in Amexgbt.
