Working here since 2011 and re joined in 2017 still position is same.. working in a bank I feel great opportunity lots of Learning opportunities but in American Express I did not found any kind of opportunity..

- No Individual trainings , hence the day you entered amex you will be the same the day you will left - For promotions - they pre pick people and announce that they have been promoted and then they open the same vacancy on jobs portal for some time and then made the same person apply for it too! Heightsss!!! - For cross train skills- cross training to them doesn’t mean to learn new process or project it is just to make sure that the inventory of teams or processes should not be over burdened and hence u are picked to work!!!...Read More

Salary benefits, employee benefits, free cab, Free food, snacks. Tech team is awesome. Employees are friendly at first.

1.Managers are centric. In the name of support or help, just words. They get personal in the name of collaboration and 'blue box' values. 2.Professionalism is getting outdoors. Work is getting managed on personal calls. Long discussions on mobile because the manager has other priorities or may be time crunch. 3. Fake BRAND image when comes to culture and values. 4.Company is providing benefits but to leverage them the leader is not supporting. For my earned leaves, getting approval is not easy. 5.Employees staying here for 5-10-15 yrs. So they think they are the boss (fake swag). They can treat anyone with disrespect or say anything comes to their mind on calls or in person in the name of collaboration. 6. Politics is real here. Presentation of your work is more important here than work itself. Fake swag I told you. Never going to join this organization and recommend to anyone. There is a tradeoff when working for such big firm with great culture, the salary paid is not always satisfactory, so that is one thing I would like to change.

Some teams are very good

Dislikes

There is no HR, everything is outsourced. The manager has your job in his hand, if he wants to fire you, no one can stop him. People get fired dure to personal vendetta. Very toxic culture. No respect for your personal time. Teams apart from CFR have a very bad culture. No trainings/support provided. Hire and fire culture
