Can speak English, can’t deliver in interviews
I feel like I can't speak fluently during interviews. I do know english well and use it daily to communicate, but the moment I'm in an interview, I just get stuck. since it's not my first language, I struggle to express what I actually feel. I know the answer in my head, but I just can’t deliver it properly at that moment. Please guide me

Totally get you! I used to freeze in interviews too
It’s not about your english trust me it’s the pressure.
start practicing answers out loud. say them to yourself in front of a mirror or record your voice.

[awesomesnail](username) I agree during the interview we are into the pressure if we did any mistakes we got rejected and this pressure applies. Just ask them before the interview can I use hindi for more confident answer it will helps a lot

See I would just say ki koi jarurat nhi koi class vaas lagane ki (they are just waste money) just give more and more interviews or apne senior level k logo se baat karte raho it will automatically improve ur english during interviews. I also used to face this issue bt dheere dheere jb mai ek k baad ek interviews dete gayi that time I came to know that there is no problem with my English or communication, there's problem in my giving answers or explaining the solutions during those interviews.

The main problem is hesitation here. So that's why communicating is the only solution. Like try explaining ur work ,ur knowledge with different people at different level, it will automatically increase ur confidence.

I suggest you to do record and review, record yourself with back camera in mobile and practice for 2 mintues later review your video, 1.Don't watch the video just listen what you said and note down the points ,areas of improvements, 2.Watch Video and see your boby language. Practice this activity. You can improve your communication skills and confidence in this way.

Its unfortunate that in country like India we still put foreign languages up on the pedastal. I guess you can ask the interviewer if its okay for you to explain it in Hindi , let them know you will do a better job at hindi. Additionally do practise the speaking skill under pressure because you might miss out on chances bcoz of this (unfortunately)

You may prepare the narrative (as there are few points which are standard in each interview), write it in on a piece of paper. Practice the same in front of the mirror as many times as you can. It works!!

I feel you. I used to go blank when facing an interviewer so I devised a strategy it might work for you too. Before the interview I just think than I'm better than them, I'm better than other candidates, the interviewer heck even the senior manager. Just say out loud I'M BETTER! Who knows your brain might just start to believe you're actually better than everyone.

I’ve worked hard. I belong here. I don’t need to be perfect, just present. hope that works for me
