About The Role :

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Catering Sales Manager to join our dynamic team in Chennai, India. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving catering sales, managing client relationships, and ensuring the successful execution of events.

Develop and implement innovative sales strategies to attract new clients and retain existing ones

Conduct site inspections and create tailored proposals for prospective clients

Negotiate contracts and pricing within established parameters

Collaborate with the culinary team to design creative and cost-effective menu options

Manage the entire event process, from initial inquiry to post-event follow-up

Coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless event execution

Conduct pre-event meetings and maintain on-site presence during events

Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities

Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics

Actively participate in industry networking events and trade shows

Mentor and support junior team members to foster a collaborative work environment

Qualifications

Diploma in Tourism, Hospitality Management, or Events Management

Minimum 3 years of experience in group, catering, and conference sales

Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong negotiation and relationship-building abilities

Proficiency in MS Office suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)

Experience with event planning software

In-depth knowledge of the catering and event management industry

Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required

Customer-focused mindset with attention to detail

Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to adapt to changing priorities
