Interview Preparation Tips

Interview preparation tips for other job seekers - The interview process was highly disappointing and unprofessional. The multiple HR rounds, followed by a group discussion with an unidentified individual, seemed directionless and poorly organized. Asking candidates to share a plan without providing any clarity on the objectives or expectations is not just unreasonable but also indicative of a lack of understanding of senior-level recruitment.

As a senior professional, I found the line of questioning utterly irrelevant. Instead of focusing on my expertise or strategic insights in marketing and communications, the questions ranged from generic Google-able queries to topics entirely unrelated to the role. One interviewer even asked questions about the company that had no connection to marketing, raising doubts about their understanding of the position.
The HR team appeared to have little to no influence or knowledge about the recruitment process, further underscoring the lack of professionalism. Overall, the company operates more like a mismanaged family business than an organization with a structured approach to hiring. It may have grown through business networks, but its hiring practices certainly do not reflect the same level of growth or sophistication.
Would not recommend engaging with this process unless the company revamps its approach to hiring and respects the time and experience of senior professionals.
