Experience: I reached the office at morning 9. Why because they mentioned the interview time was 9 in the offer letter. I was the only one who went there first I was waiting till 10:30, one by one people who got selected in campus drive came After certain number of people came one HR came and escort all the participants in a place like an auditorium. Then they explain about their company and all the stuffs and it got noon. I went to eat with the people who came for the interview and I met so many peoples they became friends to me. After that I started to have interview in calls. Then waited for the results it became evening But unfortunately I didn't got selected,its because that was my first interview I was really nervous and may be my answers were not that much satisfier. After that I left from there. But now I'm ready to face anything.
Tips: You just have to think like we are taking to a customer,our main aim has to make them feel satisfied. Talk with Courage and confidence.

Interview Preparation Tips
Experience: Its not an elimination round, you can go with your informal clothes on. Any one who has prepared for day 1 and day2 companies will get through this round. Just read news papers and learn to shoot graphs here and there even if it has got absolutely no facts and definitely practice to write a lot.
Tips: Be prepared with both for and against the topic coz the interviewer keeps changing the topic in between the GD.The topic was same as that of the case study Don’t write bullet-ed points, this makes your cases look small. Try applying your vocabulary spectrum. Try to give exhibits even if you don’t know any facts.
Round: Group Discussion
Experience: 12 students on the table, one interviewer.
Tips: Play old school .But don’t wait for your chance, just break into it, but with a gentlemanly attitude. Try giving examples. Throw arbitrary facts to prove your points, if you don’t remember the real figures.
Round: Interview
Tips: Don’t start with your brilliancein your core subject. Tell them you hate your department. Convince them that you won’t ditch them for a Ph.D or an MBA. Tell them you have a friend at Wipro who keeps giving you intel about how great the company is. Look confident and if at times you can be funny, they will appreciate it!!
Skill Tips: 8 and above CGPA is required. Later it was lowered to 7.9, mine was 7.98. They mainly ask HR questions, so being involved in Extra-academic activities gives you more that you can talk of. I had an eye for coding in C++. Helped me on this, but my extra-academics list was enough. Coding was just a bonus. If they are non core its better. But my both the internships were core based. You just have to convince them why you are dropping from core.

The question was about finding the average of a set of numbers.
I approached the problem by first summing all the numbers in the set.
Then, I divided the sum by the total number of elements in the set to find the average.
I used a loop to iterate through the set and keep track of the sum and count of elements.

Experience: The online test was of an average difficulty level. There was sufficient time to complete all the questions on time. and there was a negative marking of 0.25.
Tips: One should be thorough with the basics of english, and quantitative ability. Reasoning section needed a lot of practice so as to save time.

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: I had a very good experience answering the aforementioned questions as i was confident in all my answers. i did not have a thorough knowledge of c language, So i told the interviewer that i am not adept with programming but i can still try. Hence the interviewer told me that even if i go wrong in programming, he won't be marking me on that basis.
Tips: Always speak the truth whether you know a particular subject or not. This helps the interviewer form an overall idea about you.Put forward your views in a soft and gentle but assertive tone.
Round: HR Interview
Experience: The HR round of interviews was a more general round concerned in knowing the candidate as a person, irrespective of his/ her merits and achievements. It focussed on forming an idea about our personality as an individual
Tips: Be calm, composed and patient in front of the interviewer.
General Tips: One should not be scared or nervous about placements. Patience and confidence should be maintained throughout the recruitment process. Practice placement papers from various websites and also keep yourself updated with current affairs.
Skill Tips: A lot of practice is required to gain speed in doing calculations.

Motivation: The main motivation for applying to iGATE was the company is a major IT service provider and had been listed in the 100 fastest growing companies by Fortune magazine. Since i had been rejected in companies like Wipro, CTS, Infosys, i applied to this company in the hope of getting selected. Other motivations were my college seniors and teachers.
Funny Moments: When the technical interviewer asked me to explain any topic from my area of interest, I was shocked for a minute because i could not believe that i had been granted so much liberty of choosing any topic from my subject.To crosscheck what i had hear was true or not, i reassured myself by asking him whether he was sure or not. Then the interviewer smiled and told me to proceed.

Experience: In the group discussion the group was made up of 8 people and they told us to select the topic ourselves. The group discussion is mainly about whether you can speak up in a group or not. For example, in our group they selected all eight of us for the next round so it is not like they will eliminate some people. It all depends on how much you speak.
Duration: 20 minutes
Round: Interview
Experience: In the technical interview they asked to write a program on Fibonacci series. Also they asked simple questions on assembly language and database related theory. It basically depends on your branch. As I was from computer science they asked me some questions on those subjects. But basically they will ask c++ to all branches and they will ask theory from subjects of the branch of the candidate.

Experience: In the HR interview the questions were standard such as strengths, weaknesses and where do you see yourself after a certain number of years. Also they asked why do you want to work for accenture. Basically all the questions were questions from any HR interview.
General Tips: My first suggestion is that you should read a book on c++ before the interview. The questions from c++ will be basic only. If your branch is computer science then they will ask some questions from other subjects also otherwise they will ask you questions from your branch subjects just to see how you respond. Another important thing is to be confident during the interviews and to speak up.
