I applied via Campus Placement and was interviewed before Sep 2022. There were 5 interview rounds.
General aptitude test follwed by a technical round. Questions were asked from different online forums/sites. Lengthy to be solved at own. it was a CBT.
GD was conducted in batches of 10 to 15. Firstly all members were given 3 choices of topics for GD. GD topics were very general. Then the selected topic was reserved for the GD. it was more like a debate. Everyone raised volume to ensure that they are heard more. Those who spoke more irrespective of the quality of arguments, finally aced the GD round.
A thermal power plant generates electricity by converting heat energy into electrical energy through the use of steam turbines.
Thermal power plants burn fossil fuels such as coal, natural gas, or oil to heat water and produce steam.
The steam is then used to drive a turbine connected to a generator, which produces electricity.
The waste heat from the turbine is usually released into the environment through cooling towers...
Thermal power plants generate electricity by converting heat energy into electrical energy.
Fuel (coal, oil, gas) is burned to produce heat
Heat is used to boil water and produce steam
Steam drives a turbine connected to a generator, producing electricity
Cooling water is used to condense the steam back into water for reuse
Electricity is then transmitted through power lines to consumers
Rankine cycle is a thermodynamic cycle used in steam power plants to generate electricity.
Rankine cycle involves four processes: compression, heating, expansion, and cooling.
Steam is compressed in a pump, heated in a boiler, expanded in a turbine, and cooled in a condenser.
The cycle aims to maximize the efficiency of converting heat into mechanical work.
It is commonly used in power plants to generate electricity.
Effici...
Electricity is produced in a generator through electromagnetic induction. Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction explains this process.
Electricity is produced in a generator through the process of electromagnetic induction.
When a conductor is moved through a magnetic field, or a magnetic field is moved around a conductor, it creates an electric current.
This current is then collected and converted into usable electr...
I was interviewed in Jan 2025.
There are 2 rounds of aptitude, questions are a bit difficult so prepare well!
Oil is used in transformers for insulation and cooling purposes.
Oil provides insulation to prevent electrical breakdown
Oil helps in dissipating heat generated during operation
Mineral oil is commonly used in transformers for its dielectric properties
Transformer oil also helps in protecting the transformer from moisture and oxidation
Electrical motors run on the principle of electromagnetic induction.
Electrical motors convert electrical energy into mechanical energy through electromagnetic induction
They work based on Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction
Examples include AC motors, DC motors, and brushless motors
Yes, I am open to being relocated for the right opportunity.
I am open to exploring new locations for career growth
I am willing to adapt to new environments and cultures
I have previous experience of relocating for work, such as when I moved cities for my internship
AC motors have a rotor and stator that are visibly different, while DC motors have a commutator and brushes.
Look for a rotor and stator in an AC motor, which are visibly different in size and shape.
Check for a commutator and brushes in a DC motor, which are not present in AC motors.
AC motors typically have a simpler design compared to DC motors, which have more components like brushes and a commutator.

Fiber line bled manufacturing
The bled meter measures the amount of fluid that has been bled off from a system.
The bled meter is used to monitor the bleeding of fluid from a system.
It helps in determining the amount of fluid that has been removed from the system.
The bled meter readings are important for maintaining the proper fluid levels in the system.

A wind power plant is a facility that harnesses the power of wind to generate electricity.
Wind power plants consist of wind turbines that convert the kinetic energy of wind into electrical energy.
The turbines are typically mounted on tall towers to capture the stronger and more consistent winds at higher altitudes.
The blades of the turbine rotate when the wind blows, which in turn rotates a generator to produce electri...
A wind power plant motor is a device that converts wind energy into electrical energy.
Wind power plants use turbines to capture the kinetic energy of the wind.
The wind turns the blades of the turbine, which are connected to a generator.
The generator converts the rotational energy into electrical energy.
The electrical energy is then transmitted through power lines for distribution.
Wind power plants can have different ty...
