BASF Interview Questions, Process, and Tips

Round: Group Discussion
Experience: We were given 5 mins intially for generating idea.then we were asked to start with basic info like date, why it is celebratd etc were discussed.I was neither favouring the topic nor disagreeing with it. i put new ideas regarding the way it should be celebrated and examples were given to substantiate each point i put in.
Tips: Do not argue or shout in the GD. just give your thoughts and speak with a smile.
Duration: 20 minutes

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: There was a combined TEchnical and HR interview.
In technical they were asked questions from Cooling towers, Chilling towers, Elevation of boiling point, Sedimentation, Depression of freezing point. They also asked one question from my project "why brine solution is used for cooling".
In HR general HR questions were asked like :
Why basf? Tell about your self? Why should we hire you? Difference between education and learning? how do you manage your time everyday.
Tips: Do your home work before you sit for the interview and brush up all your basics of MT, CRE, FPM etc. Prepare for HR as well.

General Tips: Guys this is one of the best companies you can work. Worlds largest chemical comanpy and number 1. Dont go by the package. the growth potenital is unlimted as they produce everything under sun.
Skill Tips: Concentrate on Basics of Cooling towers Chillingtowers, Elevation of Boilling points,Sedimentation
Depression of freezing point etc.
