Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Resume Shortlist
Tips: Prepare a well versed resume .It should be short and to the point.Manage every thing in an organised manner.

Round: Group Discussion
Tips: Speak confidently as much as u can,but make sure u speak relevent to the topic.Voice should be clear. Make a brief outline of the points u are going to speak .
Duration: 30 minutes

Round: Test
Experience: it was a simple sphychological test(non elimination round)
Duration: 15 minutes

Round: HR Interview
Experience: It was of 30 min duration wherein i was asked about my personal life , technical background and academics.
Tips: Prepare HR questions before the interview. Whatever u speak speak confidently.They just wants to know your confidence level and speaking skills.
Make sure you speak of the words you are sure of because the next question would come from their itself.

Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Test
Experience: Online exam was conducted in college campus.The first section(aptitude) comprised basic level questions from English , numerical and logical reasoning. It was be fun solving them. Whereas the technical part was more thorough. It included almost all subjects.

Round: Group Discussion
Experience: It was a nice experience. The other party made it clear that one makes good point whether one or two. The discussion was to be in English.
Tips: Neither panic nor hesitate. It is not how much one speaks but how well one speaks.

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: It was actually an HR-cum-Technical interview. The interviewers asked me to describe myself for the first five minutes. Later technical and some HR questions were asked. Questions related to summer training and major project were also asked.
Tips: Technical questions were easier than those in the online exam.

General Tips: Stay calm and confident.

A quick revision of subjects can help clearing the online test. Performance in GD can be a big shot.
Skill Tips: There were few other areas of judgement (apart from knowledge) like.. confidence level, English grammar, body language..

General Tips: Prepare about your training and project.
Be very precise and to the point in your answers unless asked to give details.
Believe in yourself , if you have been working hard then you will be selected , may be not in first company but in a good company.

Experience: Easy questions
Tips: Basic level questions.
Practice grammar.

Round: Group Discussion
Experience: GD turned into a fish market. It requires enormous amount of effort to remain calm and composed.
Tips: Jot down your points and channel the gd in the right direction. Be polite and clear. Jot down other people's points in order to summarise at the end.

Round: Behavioural interview
Experience: Good
Tips: Practice guesstimates.

Round: Case study
Experience: Lot of questions and data in a booklet.
8 questions in 30 minutes
Tips: Practice case studies 
Make logical assumptions so that you can explain your answers in the interview.

Experience: Stressful
Tips: Be confident and explain your answers.

Tips: Be confident. Brainteasers can be dropped.

Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Test
Experience: It was an easy section. Don't need to put an extra effort for that.The written just comprises of this section and a small english section so it isnt a big deal to clear it.
Tips: Maintain good speed and practice some general aptitude
Also preapre yourself for a english paper which includes basic grammar and general english concept.
Duration: 60 minutes
Total Questions: 60

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: This too was an easy round to clear. The interview consisted of HR questions and technical questions. The technical questions asked depend on the HR but mostly are general questions related to basic concept.
Tips: Have a good knowledge of your training and major project. And be strong in one of your core subjects. Just be cool and no need to panic if you dont know the answer. You might still get in.

General Tips: Be confident and be positive. prepare well. And leave the rest on luck.
Skill Tips: As its all about luck, but you should still give your best
 Dont be afraid just be confident. It might be your day and things will go your way. And even if you dont have a good technical knowledge, your communication skill might help you put and plays a important role in getting into maximum companies.
Skills: good communication skill, confidence

Motivation: It was a core company and has a decent package. Plus its a world recognized company.
Funny Moments: Well in my interview we talked about indian cricket team and places to go in Jabalpur, my native city. It didnt felt like an interview. It was like we were discussing about general topics.

Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Test
Experience: Test was consisted of 4 sections with individual cut-offs, so initially I was little bit afraid. But when test came on the screen, it was not that much tough as I was expecting to be. So, overall, it was good, not very difficult. They just checked the basics and presence of mind.
Tips: Solve some easy questions one day before the test. Most important thing, be confident.

Round: Group Discussion
Experience: I had faced one GD before the GD of TATA Motors so I was quite confident for it.
Tips: They gave 2 minutes time before starting the discussion, so, do not be nervous. Just think of the possible dimensions of the topic.
Most important tip :even if you don't get any idea, don't panic,just do one thing. Support other's point. For example, if someone saying I think it is good idea,........ so you say " I strongly support your point but it should be like this that etc etc "   Dilpomacy.

Round: Problem Statement
Experience: According to me, it does not play very important role because our activity did not give something fruitful, many were shortlisted after this phase also.many were shortlisted after this phase too.
Tips: In every activity whatever is given, be active participant. And keep on giving suggestions and guide the group but be sensible otherwise it may be counted as negative point also.

Round: Other Interview
Experience: Initially, as obvious was a little bit afraid,I kept speaking, covering all aspects that I could remember at that time. At last, he said he was quite impressed by my answer. 
These are very very basic question for any electrical Engg.
Tips: First all wish everyone and to the lady member first. Be confident. Take your time to think the relevant point before giving answers. They understand, you are human being not the machine. Maintain eye contact to as many persons as you can.
If you do not know answer just tell them you dnt know. Do not try to play with technical person.

General Tips: First and foremost, confidence. Take your time to give right answers instead of throwing the answers on the interviewer.
Skill Tips: Again be confident.  Have some knowledge about the company and visit the company's website before the interview.
Skills: Speaking, Behavior, Confidence

Motivation: As TATA Motors has international recognition, so working in this company itself was a great motivation. As I wanted to have exposure of various fields like Mechanical Engg. also, so I chose to work with automobile company.
Funny Moments: We were shortlisted  into four slots for GD and my name was in the last slot and that too second last from the end of list.
Once I started in the 5 minute speaking questions, he was about to stop me but I said let me finish first .

Round: Test
Experience: This round was conducted online. Question based on age, average, p&c, calendar, logarithm, profit and loss, probability was asked in Quantitative
The second section consist of verbal ability.
The third section has question on DBMS, DS, OS, C/C++/Java.
Tips: Prepare aptitude (quantitative and verbal) from indiabix.com or refer to TIME (CAT coaching) material.

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: This round was skype based and has taken nearly 75 mins to complete. There were 2 interviewer.
Question based on DS, DBMS, C/C++ and Puzzle was asked.
Tips: Take a view on all the puzzles present in the net.
For data structure, refer to geeksforgeeks.org

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: This round was of 1 hr and was 1st F2F in the college itself.
Many question was asked on why i was not selected in the previous companies.Told the mistakes i have done earlier and how i rectified it.

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: This round was of 30 mins exactly 10 mins after the 1st F2F.
Question regarding my IIT and AIEEE rank was asked.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: This HR interview was of 30 mins.
A lot of discussion was done on Budget of India (2015-16) as i have mention my interest on Indian Politics.

Skill Tips: Go through main concept of the core subjects.
Skills: Data structure, DBMS, C/C++, Puzzles

Funny Moments: 2nd F2F interview was more of the general discussion than the Technical round.
In the HR round, we wear discussing about why GD should be there in the hiring process.
