There is too much to learn in a bank. Promotion opportunities were in abundance those who want to rise in their career. One clerk can become a GM if he clears promotion exams which happened every year in Vijaya Bank. I also joined as a Steno n retd as sr br manager by taking three promotions. There is ample scope to rise in banks for those who keep on studying n passing promotion exams.

Dislikes

Though everything was ok but for senior positions like BM n abv, there was too much pressure of achieving targets.

I joined Vijaya Bank in 1980 as a clerk and due to my sincerity and hard work got promotion to Asst manager then to manager and to Sr branch manager. I had good thrilling experience in dealing with customer and staff also achiving the business target set by the management.

Dislikes

Nothing, but some times there were some conflicts between customer and staff which were handled tactfully.

It was a challenging. Some times hatric but at the getting appreciation from higher authority was encorasing.
