work : There is a lot of things to learn in every department.

HR policies = During COVID, it was mandatory to take 14 days (2 weeks) to live in quarantine. But, in our zone, we were forced to come to branch after 7 days of leave, and our leaves were rejected, saying it doesn't take that long to get well. Senior Officials = Some zm and dzm decline our leave without any reason. We have all sorts of leaves on paper; we can't even avail them without their permissions. If the authority says that much leave is not required, they will decline the leaves. Timings = There is no such fixed timing. We are expected to come to bank before time but going home time is dependent on your bm and if you are bm then, seek permission from zm, dzm. All those working days on holidays and closing and working late nights are not even counted. And there is no extra pay for that. Recovery = When it comes to loan recovery, they will be aggressive during closing only, and the current manager is held responsible, who just joined the branch a week ago, but the previous manager, who did his tenure for 2-3 years, is not responsible. Loan documentation = Some of the senior credit managers in zo, even more senior than that, don't even know what it takes to complete a loan document while sanctioning, but while visiting your branch, they will ask for loan figures and recovery figures, and all they do is badmouth. Transfers = There is a policy, but nobody follows the policy for transfers. Senior officials will give you transfers as per their thought process. Some people are not that skilled to sit in a department, but they get good postings, and some of the talented officers get rural postings for what good? Security = There is no security guard in most of the rural, semi-urban, and urban branches. There are security guards only in ZO and HO. We are working with money, why are we not giving protection. I am not disclosing the location due to security issues and privacy concerns, but this is happening with everyone. ``There is no prestige in working in a government bank as of now. I joined the bank with a lot of pride and respect, but all these years in the bank, and the public's disrespect towards a banker is very demean. We are doing our work as a respectable officer, but anyone can say anything to us, but we cannot say anything to customers....Read More

Bank's work culture is very bad. Bank is using Field for business achievement No one at higher office is doing business. At Head Office there is no target or business generation they are labelling field staff business only. Large Branches are processing center and typing job while ground staff are crushed to get the business hence work culture is divided between field staff and admin office staff. There is no business target for Admin Office/RO staff and also at Head Office staffs. Higher Office and Large branch staffs are only enjoying in comparison to field staff....Read More
