It's a well established firm which takes sound decisions and is one of the best public sector banks.

Dislikes

The fact that employees who have taken VRS cannot rejoin. Union Bank should come up with a policy where women who are of age 40 years and less, who had taken VRS, a career break due to personal reasons, can rejoin. It would be helpful for that candidate and also for the bank as they will get back their trained resource who can join immediately. I am one of them. Thank you!

Union Bank is one of the top PSU Bank of country.I am part of top management team .Bank has given me opportunity to work in different capacities .where I was able to take my own decisions. Salary and compensation is not good but learning and experience is good.work pressure is very high not physical but mentally .we are having more than 60 parameters ,where we have to achieve targets ,which will be measured for appraisals .there is always pressure in Banking specially in PSU Banking. And there is always risk ,if anybig account becomes NPA. There will be explanation / Action even if Account becomes NPA after 4 -5 years. Lot of petty politics, biasness,.genuine workers are harrased and not promoted. Transfers are erratic .Job placement is not according to profile.
