The only I like is the salary gets credited on time.

I never got to work in the role that I got hired for. The work pressure is immense but this would actually depend on the project and the client you get, which is something you cannot choose but get forced into. They had also said that one gets considered for appraisal in Mar if one joins before Sep of the previous year, however thatis not really the case. The appraisal cycle is actually Jan to Dec and I got to know this only during Feb from a casual conversation with a collegue. When raised to seniors officially, they only shrugged it off saying there is nothing we can do but wait till the Dec in my case. I felt cheated. Came December, and I am suddenly finding myself into difficult discussions that are moving in the direction of not getting a good increment for sure....Read More

The organization and the career of employees is like a bubble on water. Senior and experienced employees are not valued here. That ki many directors and senior managers are fired without prior discussion or notice, even though they posses imense talent and experience. Even though they are fired, the VP is showing it as the employees is still working in the organization. HR policies are worst. Now that ki VPs are made India head who do not deserve the position as they do not posses any knowledge in the nuances domain. There are other VP who are eligible for the position, but those individuals are sidlined. Talent is not valued here. Promotions are real joke here....Read More

Work life balance and culture was great a few years ago. Salary hike and promotion was also great and talent was appreciated.

Dislikes

People are getting fired over small escalations. Company started a hiring spree. Target seems to be bench strength instead of quality talent. Favouritism has taken over for promotions. There is not much focus on skill development neither work is good to be able to learn something new. Even if you upskill on your own, there is very little chance that it will be recognised and you will be moved to better position. Heavy hindi belt feeling, everybody speaks in Hindi . Stuck up environment , employees are not relaxed because of founders micro managing. Very unstructured , founders very impractical, employees are inyelligent but immatured. Heavy data engineering based projects and practically no data science projects. Revenues are very small but on hiring spree as employee stickiness is an issue

There is not much to say great things about Sigmoid. It is a small-sized IT company trying to enter IT consulting space from a product-oriented side.

Dislikes

No Job-security, No-worklife balance. As a manager at times I was asked not to let team take time-off as the mgmt. was worried about losing revenue. The HR policies are very primitive and often policies are made and re-worked based on situation and comfort of the Management.

Increments are single digits even after being promoted. Appraisals are one-sided, they won't even try to consider your side. A person not doing much work can easily get a higher increment than someone working hard. Same technology is used in most of the projects, resulting in limited growth
