Net worth 30cr
I have a high-paying job, solid investments, and I’ve been quietly compounding for years.
But I live in the same 1BHK, wear basic clothes, take autos over Ubers, and never flex anything.
Lately, I’ve started to notice… people treat me differently.
Like I'm "not doing that well."
Some even assume I’m struggling, just because I don’t “look the part.”
I never cared before, but now I wonder,
In a world obsessed with appearances, does being low-key make you invisible?
why is it that doing show sha is what makes people like you more ?

As @a sales executive with that net worth, you belong to places where the people judging you don't belong. Just live in peace, or find some other group where you can belong without showing off.

Why do you care? It's better to keep a low profile. People get envious and try to sabotage you. Live your life in piece and quiet.
Even if you're going for luxury trips etc. Do it but still be low profile

If you have people liking you for money, they aren't actually liking you. They are liking your money. Honestly, it’s better not to be liked by these kind of people at all.
Ignore the noise, be natural. That's how people will truly value you. Hold on to these people because these are your actual wellwishers.

I believe you r wearing decent formals and not the cheap one. End of everything your money will give you peace of mind not your ward robe. I ordered 6000 Rs formals from Myntra and laid off next day. I returned all, will buy again when I get job

This world(not all exception will be there) always judge a book by its cover. The book(you),Make sure have more content that doesn’t require approval.

Why you want people to like you? If they do care about you. Then they should accept you the way you are. Stay who you are.

Your mindset is powerful. Having money and choosing not to show off takes real strength. Why waste it on society’s shallow standards? It’s your wealth, don’t let others profit off your need to impress. Let them judge; you’re already winning.

[captivatinglychee](username) i agree totally , its not about societys shallow standards , its about the fact how ppl start treating you differently

What I feel is you want the acknowledgment which you will never get if you don’t showoff. Even the countries need to show they have nuclear weapons so that other countries don’t attack them. But if you showoff in a lower circle people will envy and try to harm you. Showoff in your level they will just find it natural and they will treat you their equal. Don’t extend your limits just to showoff. But if you can keep a balance then it is great. Not telling you to showoff but sometimes it is important to show people your strength to earn respect. You will feel better. People say zuckerburg etc they live a basic lifestyle but people know who they are that’s why they get respect. But nobody knows who you are so first let people identify you the way you want to be identified rest is upto the world.

[interestingsnuggle](username) Appreciate your perspective, and I agree to an extent. There’s definitely a place for signaling strength, especially in the right circles. But for me, real confidence is knowing what I bring to the table without needing external validation. Visibility is important, yes, but I just prefer letting consistency and results do the talking. Quietly loud, if you will.

You're actually building assets.
Don't think about other things as there's no end for that.
At least if tomorrow you don't want to continue, you may exit easily compare to other.
