Work environment and culture is good. Teammates are supportive.Company policies are good and HR team and their policies are excellent. Salary and bonus are good.

Dislikes

Management is opaque and partial with a lot of politics. No on job training.Kamuganti Vamshidhar (Director) has no work ethics and tries to bully everyone in his team. Work Details

The job was plain and simple. I struggled a bit in the beginning as there was no training given. I learned everything on my own. No work life balance, bonded labourer of HQ and no growth due deceitful politics of management (particularly K Vamshidhar).

Job Security is the only thing which one can like since the Managers don't want to go anywhere. Bonuses are great and Increment especially during Salary Normalisation. Free Transport and Free Lunch is what they lure you with

Atrocious Work Environment specially designed by the No. 1 Information Security Team. I was the part of this God Forsaken Team and the Senior Managers Daga Gogo and Teja fried and ate us alive. They don't have idea of the skill set you carry and only believe in Favouritism and Politics. They only want Girls (with legs wide open) andbootlickers who can say yes to their demands. No Skill development , No Learning, No dedicated domain for specialization you'll have to do everything including hammering Laptops before Scrapping and it doesn't matter if you are an L3 Engineer or Manager you still have to do it. All they want to do is save money especially the No. 1 Information Security Team(don't know for whom). Total disregard for life of employees or their family especially during the Pandemic. Poor appraisals and no salary hike. They would say that you deserve the hike but they can't give it. Very bar company policies. Only good thing about the place is free transport and food.

Dislikes

A lot of politics and very less growth opportunities. The actual work you do doesn't matters, but showing off the work done matters the most. No work life balance and below industry standard compensation. Poor employee care.

My team is great. The knowledge exchange and hence peer learning is something that I like most here. But, Samsung is totally not supporting us in this lockdown. Most companies provided their employees with WFH infrastructure setup to help tackle the WFH limitations but Samsung did not. On asking about it, they said Samsung employeeshave that already with them. So, they assumed that every one has WFH setup when not even once in Samsung's history there was WFH and also with the petty salary they give to the employees. They even made a discrimination between WFH in Bangalore and Work From Hometown. We are not allowed to work from hometown for more than 4 weeks....Read More

A lot of things. 1. Poor pay. Discrimination in pay. Everyone will be doing the same job but a person from IIT will earn more and from a tier 3 college will earn less for the same job. 2. Worst management. They totally don't care what employees need. 3. Petty promotion policies. No extra pay raise on promotion. A Chief Engineer who was from some private college and working in Samsung for 8 years might be earning less money than a fresher from an IIT. 4. Owing to their adamant nature, Samsung has asked their employees, who went home before lockdown and were stuck there, to return to Bangalore without caring about their safety and that too unnecessarily. 5. Security checks at every step as if we are not employees but thieves. I can go on and on but it is not going to matter for Samsung because they will shrug it off. People want jobs, they will definitely come here. My advice, unless you are in a desperate need for a job, don't come here. Even if you have an offer from Samsung, keep trying for some other companies. They will make you feel like you are in a jail here....Read More

The work satisfaction is heavily dependent on the team you are put in. There are full time engineers working on minor bug fixes in some very specific applications at the same time there are engineers working on cutting edge technologies.

Dislikes

You might not be appreciated for the hard work you put in. In spite of having worked with full dedication you might end up with average appraisal. That is the reason for many good engineers leaving the company.
