There is too much partiality in the teams, the one who is favourite of manager will get appraisal disregards of the performance of that employee. Fake promises to the clients for work which can't be achieved. Put u in any project disregards of your skill set. They will pay u promote u pn tha basis of internal performances mainly in TDR and not on project performance. I am pretty sure people who want to join this company will consider Big 4 as a main criteria and this exactly has been the biggest disappointment for me. I felt like i am working in some start up with no proper procedures in place. No body knows what to do with no clear understanding of responsibilities. Client deliverables are a joke. I have seen onshore mangers asking to pass test cases with jugad their only concern is completion of task before time and removing it from their bucket. They treat India resources as labour with no consideration of their time. I have been pulled into late night calls and they don’t even ask if i have any plans or is it late. The biggest issue has been people with no talent and knowledge of the subject matter seating in senior management positions and this translates to hell lot of pressure on developers....Read More

Learning opportunities are immense. Try working for the Indian partner firms and not the US offices. The growth there, will be better despite the lower pay. Work life balance in the ACs (US offices) are better Work life balance in the Indian partner firms is a lot worse and more client facing Pay in the US offices is far greater but stagnates as the growth opportunities are lower. The firm is also quite middle manager heavy, creating a sort of glass ceiling. The Indian firms tho a lot more demanding have benefits with added client exposure, more autonomy on decision making and your own running projects....Read More

In the US partner firms, the US engagement team calls the shots and you’re an offshore resource. You do have a say in the decision making process and get to experience the end to end delivery but rarely will be running an entire project on your own. The above varies not just within the PwC teams but also within the individual clientdelivery teams. So your mileage may vary. Over all still a great place to learn and way above a lot of other firms from an Advisory point of view. Can’t say much about the Assurance, Audit or Managed Services teams....Read More

All the managers are senior technical person thought that they own the company and do whatever they like to do and they just don't help any new comers in the company and gave multiple projects when you join the office and also the work policy in the PWC i don't know it depends on the manager.

Dislikes

Your experience will be heavily dependent on your team and project manager. You might get flexibility and very poor work or good work and no flexibility. Working weekends, long hours is kind of a norm when you are in a project in advisory. Dont expect any appreciation if you focus on technical skills.

1)They offer with performance bonus of 12%-40% on reward statement. But you will get 3% of bonus at the end of year 😆. 2) they deduct insurance premium from salary. Before joining ask for high pay . Performance doesn't matter here for promotion .only good connection with managers important 😂. Lots of politics . Be ready to work on weekends.no personal life . 1 source working on multiple projects. Even If any task get delayed due to multiple project assignment, they gone blame you only . Nothing good in Big4 with respect to technology consulting as they don’t have any product or solution of their own.

Dislikes

Specific to technology consulting only - 1. People don’t have adequate experience or expertise. 2. It’s a partner driven organisation. So no company culture. 3. Steve Jobs once said to consultants- “Do some real job” 4. The entire team runs on Google search and chat Gpt. Almost zero field experience.
