The company has a global presence especially in Africa & Middle east countries. As a part of my job responsibilites, I frequently travel abroad to maintain existing customers and develop newer markets.

Dislikes

The company is manufacturing products which have very low margins due to which the financial circle gets disturbed quite frequently as company, many a times, is not able to generate sustainable profits. Due to this financial stress, payments to vendors are many a times delayed.

Work Details

I am looking after the entire company operations which include procurement, production, quality assurance, new product development, HR, Sales & Marketing. I am responsible for the profit generation and growth of the company.

Work days: Monday to Friday (Flexible Timings)

Work related travel: This job involves International Travel.

Got Rejected In an Interview, Just Because I Didn’t Answer a Personal Question

So, I got invited for this interview, and they told me to be there at 9 AM. Of course, I get there early, like 8:30, because I don't want to be late. But then I end up waiting for 1.5 hours. Seriously, they didn't even acknowledge me until 10. Then this HR lady calls me in, and she's totally unprofessional. She's like, on her phone, making personal calls while I'm sitting right there. And then she starts asking me these really weird questions, like what my nickname is, and what my dad does for a living. It got really uncomfortable when she started pressing for details about where my dad works. I mean, what does that have to do with anything? So I politely told her I didn't want to answer, and she actually said, "Then we can't continue this interview." I was honestly shocked. But instead of arguing, I just stood up and said, “Alright then.” And walked out. I left feeling pissed. Not only did they waste an hour of my time, but the HR rep was also rude and unprofessional..
