Depends on the manager and project. In small companies salaries will not be on time. Here we get salaries on time. Manager is approachable and we can get a good guidance from him whenever required. Depending on the project, we get opportunities to learn and explore more and gain knowledge and upskill ourselves.

Dislikes

No yearly hikes but they will telling that a new policy was introduced to give hikes based on performance and it can happen monthly also. But practically you will not get once in a year. No bonus. No gifts or sweets for festivals. The answer is, we want to save that budget and give something better for the employee in terms of financial aspects. There is no proper hike cycle. Appraisal reviews will happen but it is of no use. Variable pay will depend on company performance or targets achieved. So we will not get our variable inspite of our extra efforts. Timelines will be there for uploading goals but there won't be a time period for hike reviews. Till manager reviews, things will be fine, later there won't be any update. Everytime you ask manager, he says it will happen by next month and after few months it will be cancelled for the year. No proper pay for extra hours, it will be similar to labours. Example: if you have worked 4 hours extra twice then it will be equal to 8hrs and for that they will give 600 or 700 rupees. While joining only we must expect a good package. The way they creates new policies with out asking employees changing them on their own and not paying variable pay and ni clear info on anything taking good benifits from clients and throwing peanuts to employees.

A lot of things, Mphasis is not for quality people, this is for those who don't care about their work, career, salary etc.. There is no proper information about anything going on within Mphasis. We haven't received Variable Pay for 2 quarters and nobody informed about not getting VPP. Employee culture is very bad. We were on a project and suddenly ended, we were notified on last day of the project that we don't need to login from tomorrow. which means we will be going on bench. We haven't received any appraisal over the last 3 years. Overall this is not a company for career growth, this is just like a timepass company. Management only cares about renewing the project.
