Dislikes

Old senior employees exploiting new employees. HR supports office politics and no workplace ethics. No mandatory job rotation, which is causing people to stay with their loved ones and exploiting new comers. Senior management is playing blind & deaf role.

Office dress culture is relaxed. Hybrid work mode is good to have.

Dislikes

Poor job security and unfair appraisals and promotions. Coddling up to managers is required to get ahead and promoted. Kind of starting to become like TCS management. Tons of middle layer management in India.

1. Corporate Bullying by some superiors 2. Bad training by trainee 3. Abusive language by trainee 4. Seniors expect quick results from some analysts but not from others(unequal treatment) 5. Seniors egotistically complain to HR that I am attacking them with words although I am asking a doubt.(It is like they don’t know the answer tothe doubt; just turn it towards me) 6. No one was there to guide me to my desk on the starting day. I made calls to all the HRs (who had contacted me for the job) but no one answered. I somehow managed to get a number of a random person sitting in Bangalore who called the concerned person to get me. I had to wait for 1 hour in the lobby. My manager was supposed to escort me to the floor but he was on holiday. 7. The IT team told me that the work setup will be delivered at home before my starting day. But it got delivered 1 month after my starting day. I raised many queries in the meantime. But my other colleagues had got their setup before their start. 8. The HRs did not pick or return my call till my starting day. There was nothing to get my queries resolved. They hardly replied to my mails asking for a callback. 9. The HR asked twice for my credentials for background verification.(And the senior expects me, a fresher, to be perfect at my work at the onset) 10. 3 of the seniors always pressurised me to be perfect because I am a qualified professional but did not pressure other analysts who had same qualifications as me. One of them commented that I don’t look like I am interested in work and always on mobile even I wasn’t. I swear to God, I wasn’t on my mobile for more than 5 mins a day; but my colleagues used to constantly use mobile. Even though I was excited for work, the seniors demotivated me everytime. 11. I've not seen a better work culture than this. You'll just love it. Extremely employee friendly. Work life balance is the best here.

Morgan Stanley as a Firm has good values and good brand and good perks.

Dislikes

No knowledgeable VPs in Model Risk Management across globe. All VPs only learnt politics and do a kind of spell checker reviews. The one who does everything on his own never gets credit. Always create some nuisance.

Worst work environment they treat us like a shit, even they terminated with out any mistakes , there is always internal politics there plan,work & then they will action, there is huge corruption is there in transport department need internal assessments to correct it

Dislikes

Mid level managers in model risk management are incompetent, incapable of doing any hands on. Senior management cannot tolerate criticism No work ethics. Credit is often not given to the deserving person. Promotions are manipulated for personal propaganda.

Leave policy and employee support is good at Morgan Stanley. Medical benifits, career development courses are available. While joining they provide good percent hike over your existing salary.

Dislikes

Appraisal hikes are very low, less then market standard. Favouritism happens very frequent, community support culture is followed by senior management. Internal movements are purely dominated and managed by senior management. They don't let you leave team easily, or they spoil your ratings.

I like the work culture of the company. The team i was part of, it was a stable environment so there was a stagnant growth.

Dislikes

Personal learning and growth are very hard to achieve here, as they don’t sponsor any certification.
