It is the most TOXIC work environment I have ever been in and severely affected my mental and physical health. Think of this as a place where you have to beg and cry for the simplest of resources and amenities. This biggest problem here is that there is no proper HR policy or sensible rules. Ridiculous rules are made up by the management every now and then and it is a common practice here to only hire freshers and ruin their career before it even starts. They purposely take freshers in every dept. so that they can be easily MANIPULATED, OVERWORKED and paid less. Following are only "some" of the issues with MCL: Infrastructure: The office has a very bad infrastructure. There is practically no space and employees are made to sit in cramped positions, that too on plastic chairs for 8-9 hours a day. There are no proper office tables or storage space. Everything is just strewn over in the office. The work environment is terrible to say the least and despite several requests, no attention is paid to the infrastructure. No HR: MCL does not have an HR or an HR Department. No offer letter/appointment letter is provided while joining, since they love evading employee beneficial compliances. The people carrying out HR responsibilities here are members of management itself and their relatives, hence the employees have no safe space. The problems are not at all addressed by the concerned persons nor do they reply to any emails at all. These people are hypocrites. They don't provide simple things like tissue papers in washrooms (even for girls) in the name of saving the environment but take countless photocopies of every single document and store them. Non-related work: There are no office boys/clerks. Employees are forced and made to do office operations and maintenance work like taking care of kitchen, ordering stationary, groceries, watering plants, used to even make people wash utensils of guests, make and serve tea, coffee to guests. This affects productivity a lot since penalties and punishments are given for not complying. In several occasions, one of the directors has also forced employees to make and serve tea for her in the exact manner she likes. Salary: MCL does not ever provide a proper salary break up while joining. No salary slips are provided, if you ask, they get annoyed and give you a fake one with no credentials of the company. Just a simple table with the amount. (Evading compliances to the max level). Salary is also credited very very late, by 10th or sometimes 15th of the month. No ESIC, Gratuity, PF is provided. Over that, they have the nerve to deduct Hefty penalties (in thousands) from employees' salaries. No explanations whatsoever is provided by the management for these salary cuts. If any employee complains, instead of looking into the issue they openly give toxic answers to employees asking not to bother about salary, just do work and that should be enough. Moreover, employees are forced to work for no extra pay on public holidays, sometimes Sundays and even festivals. No comp-offs are provided. Seniors/Management: The few seniors in the company form part of the management and they will not value you, never understand and address your problems but will readily throw juniors under the bus. Their "guidance" is futile. Not at all supportive, and most of all, UNTRUSTWORTHY and UNRELIABLE. Since some of the members of management itself are not very educated, they belittle the academic qualifications of employees and make statements like "education and skills don't matter, entrepreneurship is important". The head of various professional departments is not even academically qualified to have the position nor are dedicated to the field to guide freshers. The designations of most seniors on the website are not at all accurate. If you resign, they will not ease the relieving process at all. Proper relieving documents are not provided. You are treated as an enemy of the company, not even your departmental senior bothers to ask why you are leaving, because their ego is hurt since they think their company is great. They like to act like they care and like to maintain that facade in front of their stakeholders, but each day they prove that the employees personal lives and mental health does not matter. Toxic work environment. Management don't value employees time. They just force you to work on their terms (On weekends too). I would like to say to the freshers who are reading this "don't get into the trap of this people". It's better to be unemployed rather joining this organization. Getting position in this company is as simple as making tea ( Yeah... because you are going make tea all of the time in this company). Don't even ask about the penalties for coming late sometimes.
