Working in KPMG gives you a lot exposure and learning. You will get to learn cross functions and with various teams. You will be provided opportunities but you have to be upfront in asking the management that you are intrested in a particular area and ready for more responsibility. No one will give you anything in a platter you have to prove and fight for it

Dislikes

Its cutthroat competition. People will be all sweet and concerning on your face but really they will only intrested in how long its going to take to complete your work. Its a good learning experience in terms of how to handle cunning people

- Some teams have a toxic environment, especially because the manager is biased toward people, making the environment toxic, and no action is being taken to resolve this issue, which has led to multiple attritions and a poor handover process.

If you like audit, then the one satisfaction is you get is from the completion of each assignment. The learning there is good and the brand name is the best out of it.

1. I worked in the GRCS branch of Chennai and the work culture is toxic as there are personal grudges due to the inflating ego of the upper management. It depends on the Manager or Director you work under. 2. During the closure of audits, you will not have time to have meals on time or a good sleep, work life balance will be a little worse during the closures. 3. Compensation could be better. Colleagues and team people are very helping and connecting. Very less or no office politics I saw here.

Career growth is very slow, appraisal and rating does not depend on performance even after fulfilling all key metrics this is not sure that you will get rating -1, you may get 4 if your PM has higher number of reporties, some how KPMG needs to works on their review and decision making policies for betterment of their employees.

While consulting has its own fair share of work life balance, but the team I work with makes work feel like life. At the end of the day it flow’s from top and the leadership I have been working with directly right now is super amazing.

Dislikes

There have been a lot of whirlwind changes in leadership (OVER ALL KPMG LEVEL) which seems to be more reactive than proactive.

Everything is restricted because its a major in audit firm, even non audit related folks face the same scrutiny as that of audit teams. No job security, no work life balance, worst appraisals, favouritism at its peak.
