Note : I was not laid-off, I decided to leave due to the poor culture and lack of growth in this company. PS : Putting this first because after this, the HR department might post fake 5 star reviews boasting about the company’s values and culture. Let me jot down what this company is about. 1) HR - The worst HR department that I have ever come across or you can say that I have never seen HR department so pathetic. They literally ask you to write good reviews about the company on LinkedIn, Job boards etc. even though it’s just been a day or two in the firm. I wish I could attach screenshots of emails, chats so that people can the HR department of Indegene. DON’T BELIEVE ANY GOOD REVIEW. THEY ARE FORCED AND PROBABLY WRITTEN BY THE HR DEPARTMENT OR BY EMPLOYEES WHO ARE ASKED TO DO SO BY THE HR. 2) Management and Colleagues - By far, one of the coldest people you can come across. No empathy, no lack of compassion or no concern whatsoever for your private life. Forget 9 to 5 or if you believe you’ll work for 9 hours and you’re done. You need to work minimum of 12 and it can go up to maximum of 18 hours as well. And then if you convey that you cannot work for long, they’ll just tell you this - “If you cannot finished the assigned tasks within 9 hours, you have to definitely push. You don’t get your way in life, you need to work hard for it.” So people, forget your personal life and health. And the best part is - NO OVERTIME PAY. Yes you read that write. My colleagues would get hospitalised frequently due to the pressure. And guys, thinking of a promotion? Well, get ready to wait for a minimum of 3-4 years. Be a bootlicker if you are a manager pleaser, maybe you’ll get it within 2 years. I got to experience one hike - the number is worse than you think. 3) Culture - They say that they value the employees well-being and stuff, maybe that’s what the founders (executive management) genuinely wants for it’s employees but guys, your - Team Leads, Managers, Senior Managers will eat you up. If you want to burn, do join this company. For someone like me who can hustle to push my limits and look for growth and yet see no fruit, you can imagine how pathetic this company is - and by that please do consider the management of the company and not its leaders who want their company to succeed. Since I have joined, in my team, i am not happy with the projects they have assigned. Even though they know I am not from core pharma, quite often they are putting me in complex pharma work. My domain is totally different and I am wondering why they have hired me. Whosoever is from Indegene, pls help me to get a Lil simpler project. Current project is taking more than 12-14 hours a day, taking toll on health and psychological well-being. Terrible pay! This applies to employees from lower bands who are hired under extremely low CTC. This is to be noted that the work given to these employees are no less than anyone else in a senior band level. The appraisal season gets delayed most times citing company isn't doing that well. And when it happens, it's practically nothing. It hardly covers the commute expenses to the office. No cabs by the way. They need to understand that it's essential to appreciate employees especially from Band A levels since these are the folks doing most of the grunt work.
