If you have a competent boss overseeing your work, you can expect opportunities for growth and exposure. Beautiful IIT Bombay Campus

Dislikes

The prevailing culture here is heavily influenced by your boss's attitudes and behaviors. If you have a competent and reasonable boss, you're in luck because they will create a positive environment for you to thrive in. They will provide support, protection, and opportunities for you to excel and grow professionally. However, if your boss is insecure and lacks the necessary skills, your experience here will be quite challenging. You may find yourself constantly stressed and overwhelmed. Unfortunately, around 90% of bosses exhibit such characteristics here. The culture here does not align with the typical culture found in NGOs/Foundations. The HR in this organization has a poor reputation of being dishonest and making false promises. It is advisable to be caution and take everything in writing before joining the company. Job Security issues on non performance. Less power to execute work directly. Lots of Government rules to be followed to execute any task, which ultimately results in delay.

Got Rejected In an Interview, Just Because I Didn’t Answer a Personal Question

So, I got invited for this interview, and they told me to be there at 9 AM. Of course, I get there early, like 8:30, because I don't want to be late. But then I end up waiting for 1.5 hours. Seriously, they didn't even acknowledge me until 10. Then this HR lady calls me in, and she's totally unprofessional. She's like, on her phone, making personal calls while I'm sitting right there. And then she starts asking me these really weird questions, like what my nickname is, and what my dad does for a living. It got really uncomfortable when she started pressing for details about where my dad works. I mean, what does that have to do with anything? So I politely told her I didn't want to answer, and she actually said, "Then we can't continue this interview." I was honestly shocked. But instead of arguing, I just stood up and said, “Alright then.” And walked out. I left feeling pissed. Not only did they waste an hour of my time, but the HR rep was also rude and unprofessional..
