This institution was setup with a wonderful idea of promoting FOSS. It has a got a very young work force.

The management is utter chaos. They did not even know why it was actually set-up. People are assigned single projects and most often they never deliver the projects. Because of lack of resources, knowledge and team support. This is especially true in case of language technology department. It's only purpose is training, that too needs updation. Management just puts pressure on team to deliver but never ask or analyse why team is lagging. The heads actually need to update themselves before they could guide incoming team members. People are treated preferentially and politics inside the office ruins it's working environment. Good resources never stay because they always land better opportunities and management never really try to save or identify critical resources. Unless the management truly devotes time and work on developing a solid structure where team can be built it's not going to sustain. Never pay good salary, has got all the issues associated with a typical goverment organization as well. Bottom line, please consider joining the company, it's at best is an extention to your college, with teachers who doesn't really know about how the actual software industry heads the department. HR is complete disaster, you never really get a proper HR policy here. Government of Kerala, and head of IT department and it's secretary should really spend time on this to correct it's direction....Read More
