The BMC leader is very biased and racial. She doesn’t care about the team or its dynamics. She encourages the next level leadership’s toxicity. She likes people pleaser and no body should question her. And all those you sucks up gets a promotion, good bonus and hike.

1. Salary is offerred based on job role, not on previous drawn salary. 2. Ample leaves. 3. Better work life balance than country practice. 4. Good increment Y-O-Y. 5. Even being GDS unit you get to learn & grow your sector knowledge, not a typical copy paste work.

1. Few locations are given more preference than others. 2. Promotion / YE rating process lacks transparency. 3. People with same rating at same level have different hike %, for which reasons are not specified.

Everything is based on project. If project is good and always sending appreciation then good else you will end up losing the variable pay and increment. Worst thing is flat hierarchy, you never know whom to contact for any purpose. Headache - competency, if on bench ..nightmare.. anytime you can receive mail asking to leave.. assessment one after another..

While being employed during my time at 2023 year to 2024 year it was a good experience but the learning modules set and performance to be met was set at a high level for me which was not being met. That can be found by the company records.

Certain people being HR's still not very prominent. Knowing the difference between certain cultures and disparity but many people i did interact with on a physical look basis and physical hand to hand friendly greeting.

If you are lucky enough to be part of the right team, you'll have good work life balance and a good team culture where you'll at least not be absolutely terrified of Mondays and drag through your week for the weekend. The leave policy was good while I was working at EYGBS. My team and team culture was devoid of toxic politics and I had the opportunity to decide what I want to do.

EY GBS job descriptions are basically shopping wish lists. Once you enter the role you'll figure nobody actually has a single skill mentioned in the JD also, the actual job is far from what the initial expectation was. The hiring process is a nightmare, salary is miniscule, almost every function has absolute chernobyl level toxicity, leaders favour their own people. Talent is colluded with head hunters for hiring and you'll get zero results on applying directly to career page. I was a part of an internal support team and had access to data and people from various functions in EY GBS. EY GDS as an organisation is really great. There are multiple programs that can help one achieve satisfaction beyond work related aspects. Most often people once they are hired are given choices to move to other teams even if they are performing not so well. Skills improvement is an aspect that is definitely ingrained.

Dislikes

Depending on who one works with (Principal, Partner, Executive Director, Director) the work life balance can be okay or fully messed up. Promotions are infrequent and happen only when a person is critically important and threatens to move out. Politics is an interesting aspect that one learns in a Big 4 set-up.

1. Worst work culture. 2. Lot of partiality, they have office in Bangalore for name sake. 80% to 90% Promotions will be for Noida people. Only 10% - 20% from Bangalore. Even though candidates are worthy they still promote Noida Employees rather than promoting Bangalore Candidates. Most of the leadership sits in Noida. 3. For communication they mostly use Hindi then secondary would be English. Even it 10 or 200 members connect/forum, they still discuss in Hindi. They don’t bother that you understand or not 4. HR are also for Name sake, if you complain on any of higher management they will discuss internally with them and target that person and also HRs are very Hard to reach. 5. Micro Management 6. You will fed up with filling more than 3 timesheets every single day. 7. There are no procedures for any thing, etc.. my list will go on. But this is more than enough. The Partner won’t let you spend the budget to your team member and it’s their tendency to put themselves in limelight that he is the sole owner of your life. I don't like the so much dirty politics of manager sitting on senior manager position. They are so pathetic never encouraged, appreciate hard working deserving employees.

I really don't like involvement of QA senior manager in year end discussion, when they don't really involve through the year any discussion with employees. They never engaged with employees just for rating discussion they are included which is really not good. I have worked with EY for approximately 5 years and felt at comfort with few managers since they were very cooperative and understanding. The company promotes culture of flexible working hours in some teams.

Dislikes

1. Undue work pressure in non busy seasons and not letting charge time 2. Huge politics during promotions and increment cycle end. 3. Mental pressure due to unrealistic deadlines. 4. Leadership misuses their power to shut down employees raising voices against malpractices. 5. EY GDS not always following global audit guidelines.

There is no work life balance and seniors and managers are very unsupportive, always terget the colleagues. Internal politics are the major part of the EY. All the employees who working 10years continually they treat ourselves as the CEO of this company. Overall I do not recommend anyone to working with this organisation. Especially EY GDS Gurgaon based location.
