HR of the company is involved in hiding facts from candidates at the time of recruitment. The target variable pay which is shown as part of CTC in the offer letter, is actually the Retention bonus that is payable only to top performing employees with a clause that it Will be taken back completely if employees leave within 12 months from the date of payment. Moreover, due to company's bad performance during last few years, this amount is paid at just 60% of the target amount shown in offer letter even to top performers and just 25% to second best performers. Sounds weird!! Even if you're giving your best, you are not eligible to get 100% bonus even. Moreover converting variable pay into retention bonus without informing employee at the time of joining and requiring him to sign a 1 year bond after annual performance appraisal is contractually illegal and seriously inhumane.
