Its just 3 months I joined Duckcreek, but I am really impressed by its culture. I realized that this company owns its employees. Unlike big giants they have sentiments and understand the needs of the employees during this Pandemic. Management is easily approachable.

Dislikes

Nothing to say bad about it. But initial hike that is when we switch to this company, are not that great. But since I wanted to this No.1 Insurance Product company I compromised on that part :).

Here I am Hired as Business Analyst but I am doing Quality Assurance (QA) work. But I was told about this before joining. I accepted it as I was keen to work with this Product.

Job security is good, no one was laid off in the pandemic as far as I know. Compensation and benefits are good, salaries were hiked in the range of 30-60% in 2018 to curb attrition but now hikes are as usual 8-14%, depending on rating.

Dislikes

Every year we are expected to do the same mandatory courses which is pointless. Politics is scary here. Deserving people who have spent many years in the company are ill-treated whereas new hires are promoted just to show what a great place to work Duck Creek is. Some projects are not managed properly resulting in unnecessary stressfor employees in the form of working weekends. Work-life balance is non-existent, projects are executed with small teams and people have to slog nights and weekends to complete tasks. Only the dearest pets of the senior management go onshore. No specific cons, but the job is a particular tool base. Opportunities are very good for this tool outside the company but only a few companies. Cafeteria food is not good.

being in product industry each employee should be trained functionally about product. when product is evolving with technology, training for new technology should be in place for all employee and not only product changes training. overview of all products and how they are communicating with each other should be part of training. central forum /repository missing to get answers for all question (partially created - Solution center ) however more information should be put in for internal employee field meaning .functionally -significance of that field -which all services it consumes....Read More

DuckCreek is one of the best Insurance Product companies. Company provides excellent work life balance and support, specially in this pandemic situation. DuckCreek have nice Culture and People around. We also have a lot of Career Growth & Opportunities. Its always easy to connect with management in case needed.
