The work culture is very toxic when it comes to Deloitte India. The management will hire you for your skillsets and then place you in a role which is totally not related to you and then they won't even help you out or listen to you.

I joined Deloitte way back in 2017 when the talent pool was great. Now it's just another WITCH company and you can easily guess basis the talent they are hiring. (No offence)

Dislikes

Instead of doing mass layoffs, they'll resort to cheap tricks and techniques for the employees to fall into their trap and then let them go. In one instance, they deliberately exposed their performance APIs for the curious ones to notice. And a few months later, they fired all of them citing compiance. Additionally, they'll ask theteam managers to nominate few low hanging fruits from their team to nominate them for PIP, which ultimately leads to termination. The entire consulting is at the mercy of the sales/marketing and they are pushy as hell. With the advent of GenAI, sales team has been spreading magic to the customers and expect developers to come up with solutions in record time. They'll try to pass of MVP as proper builds and when the dev teams actually come up with reasonable technical challenges, they'll in turn blame the competency of the team. 1.If you get a toxic managers then it will lead to poor work life balance & excess stress. 2.Since there is high attrition, 1 person always have to compensate for 2 people if not more. 3.There is a unsaid expectation to work 10-12 hours to justify effective 8 billable hours.(Billable hours exclude bathroom breaks ,tea /meal/sancks break, personal call/ whatsapp chats,etc) 4.Appraisals are standard ,close to industry % if not lesser. 5.Office politics, but i think this would be any organisation....Read More

There are few things like hybrid working model, you can work from any Deloitte office within the country and its completely dependents on the client's ask.

Dislikes

Deloitte India, has not touched the bar of USI. Partners are not approachable, they think that they're GOD! Evening this decided by the partners, doesn't matter what's their in your KPI's. There is no transparent process for appraisal or any other things.

The culture is amazing with lots of employee benefits. The leadership is also very inclusive and understanding.

Hikes and promotions are a little less than what should be expected. It's great for an experienced professional but for freshers it's not a good start from the salary side.
