When an employee wish to raise a concern genuinely, it needs to be addressed. Employee EXIT Survey Feedback shouldn't be blocked to prevent employee from providing feedback. Unfortunately in my case, it had been blocked to prevent me from raising the serious concerns. Despite highlighting it to HR partner, the matter had been lingering till my last day. When a business unit is spanned geographically, every zonal team should respect Time zones of each other. Unfortunately, my manager at London had completely disregarded and disrespected it. Hiring a person for certain skill-sets and later pressurizing him to take charge of a different activity which may deviate him from his career path, is an absolutely wrong practice, which had been cultivated by my London manager. Forcing an employee to resign by threat of enforcing PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM is an another ugly tactic I had faced with my London Manager. Sabotaging an employee's work and reputation is an another ugly practice followed within my team, that I had witnessed and experienced. London Team manager had not bothered to stop it and had rather continued with silent support. - Almost all of the top management(C11, C12, C13 etc)are upper caste Brahmins - During my time 95 percent of TL- C09s and Manager- C10s were Brahmins across NAM, Singapore, India and Australia ops but recently I heard that they are giving promotions to other communities as well. But only the salary and levels are given not the entire team management role. It is very demotivating to know even after years of hard work you are not given promotions and good appraisals. I guess world is not fair I found out the hard way. - No regard for your health, due to my demanding investment role, handling huge sums i used to have lunch someday at 2.30, someday @ 1.30, sometimes at 3.30 or 4.30 in the evening, this is due to different cutoff time. And working 11 to 15 hours depending upon the volume and there is commute for another 2 hours per day. I literally felt like living in office!! After all the hard work living as bachelor getting proper food @ 11 and 12 in night was hard. I usually show all the frustration by having large amount of food at late night. Due to this unhealthy life style and work culture I had developed a health condition called GERD/reflux where your splinter muscles loosens and tend to vomit a lot. Got 3 endoscopy done first was in 2019 last was this year 2024. I couldn't go to a job due to this condition. - Every job is demanding so do your job but it is not your life. Take good care of yourself by having small breaks and have some fruits in between. Stay away from smoking and drinking.
