Very bad appraisal, and no value for the loyalty. The hard work goes vain, nobody notices. No promotion..No proper recognition and benefits. No guidelines followed for the promotion, talent hunt.

Capgemini has a good work life balance. Offers many financial offers like leasing of cars and many more options. Capgemini offers more on-site opportunities for the employees. The Hybrid policy is more flexible than focusing on the number of hours in the office. Have plenty number of offices in major locations in India so one could relocate easily within country.

Dislikes

The pay and compensation is way lower than any competitor in the Service based sector. After being for 3+ years just 15% is hiked till now on total compensation on what I have joined the organisation.

Capgemini believes in work life balance. We used to have furloughs. Otherwise also tasks were not rushed. Sufficient time was given for each task. In case the task required to be hurried, time was later given to relax, before starting a new task. Trainings were good and knowledgeable. You were never denied leaves, provided you applied atleast 45 days in advance, for long leaves. Otherwise also managers and team leads were good and understanding. As mentioned, job stability was not there. Once you are out of a project and HRs are not showing enough interest to get you interviews for new projects, you should understand that the company wants you to quit. You would immediately understand this shift in behaviour, once you are out of a project and no one contacts you for next three weeks.

This company is worst in all the criterias listed above. I lost my job due to company politics & no support from the leadership/senior management when I was critically ill. The seniors never support you in the critical times and they play politics in order to get you out of the company. Girish Gulati Prabhat Goswami Snehasis Roychowdhury Apoorva Khanna These three ruined my career and life.

Salary is bad, be prepare to work on nearly the same salary at which you join, for ever. Old timer Kanbay employees holding most of the senior positions and won’t let other more deserving employees to rise, lot of politics for promotions etc. don’t stay for more then 1-2 years even if you join.

Working culture is good. Very very few people are genuine. Skill development opportunities are really excellent. You can manage work life balance very well.

Vertical is as per technology not as per domain (which other organization have). Service line leadership fighting with each other. No robust process for performance rating. Still using bell curve. Real added valued resources are getting bad rating and leaving organization very often. Most of the senior designated leaders are of nouse. I expected 10 years with Capgemini 4 times I got 0% annual appraisal not only me many people they didn't get any appraisal, 4 times I got highest rating but appraisal % like 3%, 4%, 2.19% like that. I advise please don't join Capgemini for Non IT (BPO).

Work life balance is good. Company culture is very good. Job security is normally good although in some teams especially when market is bad, Capgemini has strict bench policy.

Dislikes

Appraisals are very poor. Like 5% average for top performers. Some BUs offer 8% (for top performers). Promotion hike is also less. Sometimes people get dry promotion. Otherwise company is good.

Too much politics ...RMG, Hr and junior managers don't know how to talk with new joiners or with employees. Hr's and manager are too confused about job role and salary/ location discussion. At first they agree on everything but once you joined they company they deny on everything that has been discussed earlier even if it's on mail ..and put you on bench and after 6 months asked you to leave due to bench period over or you are not able to be billable. Also your probation with not be confirmed and having said that they will kick you out of the company. Even if you complain to HR about the issues. So if you want to stay in this company don't stand for your rights and just stay as per them because manager and HR ...they can change policy anytime as per their convenience and ask to to obey otherwise there will be termination which leads to no job security in this company....Read More

Extreme micromanagement and use of softwares for tracking activity. Compulsion of working 12 days in office per month, not even 1 day less. Tracking the number of hours spent in office.
