Time being spent with residents

As a post graduate am really disappointed because, i felt i was treated as a groumd level employee rather than a proffesional. Workload is too much and as a counsellor i have to do nurses job and a caretaker job. Its not fair at all.. work responsibilities are not all organized.
As a msc postgraduate or msw post graduate we are asked to do things that is out of our job resposbilities.
First management should understand what does a post graduate should do as a counsellor for the patient well being.
What we were doing is placing order for fruits and snacks, basic monthly requirements as if we are running somekind of supermarket
We are asked to do personal hygiene and room inspection. Its a Nurse job
We are running all over the campus to run for system and printer
We need to carry parcels of the residents as if we are running a courrier service
We have to take residents to parlor, lunch out, shopping, then who will fo our job. Kind of security job.
We completed post graduation not 4th stardard failed.
Some of the caretakers are earning more than us counsellors, sometimes it is very hard to swallow thinking that i completed post graduation and working as counsellor doing caretaker job with underpayment...
We are asked to do many things at a single time... i had to handle 20 residents and at the same time i have to take activities, attend follow up, families, take residents out, complete system works, phone call duty, lunch duty, evening morning shift without pay (12 hours of duty).. ordering fruits and snacks, handling clients, doing personal hygiene, room inspection, coordinating session with Psychiatrist and Clinical Psychologist, taking admission, doing admission procedure, preparing discharge, getting correction from JC, writing names on new patient dress, collecting their valuable belongings, doing case history, taking classes for nursing students, doing scales, giving monthly updates, weekly updates, updates to referral doctors, individual counselling sessions, outside consultation reports, local shifting, outstation shifting, taking rounds for those familities visiting campus for admission, recent health updates, reach out session, coordinating reach out session with Psychiatrist and Clinical psychologist, family sessions etc... its never ending and each day new resposibilities will pop up.
Dear management if you want an employee stick to your organization, you need to change a lot. Please organize the duties amd resposibilities of each professionals
What is the job responsibility of a Msc Psychology post graduate.
What is the job responsibility of MSW post graduate
What is a Nurses duty
What is a caretaker responsibility
Please do a thorough study on this
Its not a msc or msw post graduate duty to do personal hygiene room inspection placing fruits and snacks, monthly requirements
Our job is pure clinical.. not administration or caretaker job..
Each of us should recognized based on our qualification and skills....
Regarding payment.... see what all things we are supposed to do... if you are still thinking that we are doing nothing and simply getting paid, its is unfair... its shows you people are so pathetic and and not valuing the employees as human beings .. you people are sucking out our blood... and one more important thing... food is soooo pathetic... not only employees even residents are not provided with good food.. its very horrible.. we people are having a lot of health issues having the food provided there.
Management try to understand after completing postgarduation an applicant is applying for the job with an aim of getting experience and to get practical exposure, to learn... if you are not able to provide such an environment please stop hiring..
We are asked to do sunday duty and morning evening shift that too without pay... we are working more than 8 hours in a day.. sometimes we had to do shift continuously for 1 week.. think about us.. we are getting exhausted, no break in between, not allowed to go outside to have food, and not providing good food, do we have to starve to death whole day?
If i have morning shift i have to come at 6.00 am in the morning and can leave the campus only by 5.30 in the evening
If am having evening shift i have to come at 9.00am and can only leave by 8.30.. i will reach home by 9.. so almost 12 hours of duty but reflecting only 11.30 hrs in the system....
This is totally unfair... please organize the responsibilities of each based on the qualification...Read More
