In these months I don't have anything for that I can give thumbs-up to Bandhan.

Dislikes

-No proper training. -No hand holding for newly joined staff -No time given to establish, from start of the month you joined you are expected to turn the table overnight. -If your interview is not taken by your supervisor you are done.

No company culture, HR will not support you, There is no job security me and my friend switch at a same time and we both need to relive on early bases. I have worked in almost 2-3 banks and this is the worst one.

These are the key points that people should keep in mind if he or she wants to join Bandhan Bank 1. Work culture- It doesn’t look like a bank, it looks like a fish market more. There is no proper decorum or dress code at all. 2. Process flow- You can not expect to your work gets done within a short period of time, everything goes too slow, takes too long to get completed. If you’re from a standard work cultured bank you will feel that difference. 3. Basic Hygiene- Very dirty, and no intentions to make it clean. 4. Employees- Very much unqualified people , just for the sake of sales or targets managements are giving them jobs. Yes we should not discriminate anyone, but working professionals of a bank should be qualified enough to carry the dignity of the same. 5. Salary- The amount of baggage you will be carrying is nothing compared to your salary. 6. Products- You can not compete with Bandhan’s product with other banks except FDs 7. Attendance- Sign in & Sign out is compulsory, even if you’re at a customer call at 7 PM , you have to come back to office to sign out from the system. This may vary from branch to branch. Not having market share. You need to sell brand image 1st. Head office is Kolkatta. So culture is not common for all. Supervisors won't understand the ground reality.

Holidays and leaves are sufficient but approval depends solely on the supervisor. Also, resignation is solely dependent on supervisor and hence creates a lot of harrassment during the notice period. And very long notice period of 90 days.

No proper business development plans. Not enough work is allocated to juniors and surprisingly seniors always criticize and demoralize for low productivity. Seniors do not do anything about increasing productivity and blame only juniors for each and everything. No support guidance or knowledge shared by seniors. Salary is very poor except for departmental seniors. HR team is very poor. HR does not know any company policy and will never solve any queries of employees. If someone wants a career oriented towards self learning and development, knowledge, exposure, he/she should not join BBL. No place for self actualisation. Very rude and unsupportive staffs. POSH is even not a thing in the bank, as most of the vintage staffs openly objectifies women and a few greedy female staffs that holds some influential positions, can abuse other male staffs openly (terrible culture). Local leaders are very greedy about their positions and always demand sycophantic behaviour, training is between average to good. Processes are absolutely nightmare. Unrealistic targets, thus staffs utilizes the loopholes in the system to meet the target, ultimately the bank loses revenue from it's P/L and Balance Sheet. Forgery of signature is very normal practice across branches. HR policies are even dumber. Even medical leaves are not allowed, Cluster Heads POV about medical leave is that, only if a staff is admitted to ICU or any immediate family member dies, then only leaves would be granted. Pathetic work culture and average office timings are from 9.00 am to 9.30 pm across branches in Kolkata. Office environment is not friendly. Seniors are always at a shouting mode, I don't know why. They show that if they will shout, they can show their presence. Induction Training was given online through teams meeting, it was like give someone a chocolate, ask that peron to taste it by not unwrapping it...

Every thing is fine here but nothing to learn more. It’s just like a govt job you don’t have to worry about the job security. About the salary part it came on time at the end of the month.

In banking sector, obviously, for a DBA there is lot to learn and implement. At Bandhan they give you the chance not only on Oracle but also other database like MySQL, MSSQL etc.
