Initially when we joined the company had a good culture. They values their employees.

Avoid Avalara:- Not a great choice for Freshers. If you are considering joining Avalara , I strongly advise against it, no matter how attractive their package may seem. The company has developed a toxic work culture, and management has taken a turn for the worse. They have been hiring employees only to ask them to resign within couple of months, citing vague or fabricated reasons, which severely impacts careers. Hr and management are unsupportive, often acting in an inhumane and deceptive manner. The company seems to have lost its ethics, prioritising profit while simultaneously spending millions on unnecessary events. If you’re looking for job security and a healthy environment. It was 2 day work from office so I got chance to interract with team members and learn from them and share ideas.

Design team don't have innovative vision they just say yes and commit to any requirements without even having guts to have a discussion and take data backed design decisions basically the design manager is just keeps pleasing VP like a yes man

New management in GSO is toxic and vengeful along with the new VP. The director is the biggest chauvinist of all- my way or the high way rule. No gender equality

Do not ever join this company if you want job security. Look for security, they will be very nice at starting but then without any explanation you will be asked to leave. Hiring firing company. In Sep 2024 they dissolved the entire team asking 2 month old & 2 weeks old & even 2 days old joinees to leave.. Witnessed a scenario where people who joined few months ago, few weeks ago and few days ago were asked to leave with NO compensation. A lady who worked for 10 years as almost a founder member of Avalara India was asked to leave and ID got deactivated over phone in few seconds only.. Hiring and Firing Company. Lot of new and old hires. People who joined few months, few weeks and few days ago were asked to leave abruptly.. Even a lady who was working for 10 years was asked to leave over phone and her ID got disconnected in few seconds over call only..

Work life balance is good. Higher management is also good. Other benefits are good.

Manager politics within team. Biasness is most in the team. The new manager(Himanshu Gupta) is biased with boys. Favouritism is more and support his native people from UP. He is the worst manager I worked with. Always targets boys for the additional work. He always scolds to boys and talk to girls very sweetly.
