I did not like anything working at Amex, the only good happened to my that I few good people to work with who are not just colleagues but are more of friends and family now.
Dislikes
I would this is the worst organisation I have ever worked with. There is no work-life balance, if we talk about the customer service department the worst thing is you to inform them a month in advance that would are planning leave for this day and then you have to apply on a portal now here the worst thing, once you send you leave request they will check if the leave is not clashing with any other team member, which means that on a single given day only one ccp can take an approved leave and another person has to take leave it will be an unplanned leave because only one leave will be coded.
Work-life balance: There is no work life balance that you will ever get. They change your shift every month. One month you are doing a early monrning shift (5:30 AM-2:00PM IST) next month they will change your timings to (2:30 AM to 11:00 PM IST). and when you ask you will hear a response that you signed up for night shift, business needs and all that ilogical reason.
The pressure is so immense that I had to resign and still my manger played, I resigned on 29th April 2024 because of work pressure, work environment and my manager accepted my resignation, he asked me if I would be serving notice period, I informed him on the email yesterday (8th May 2024) that I will be serving notice period and told I reached office at (12:30 AM) my ID card was not working, I was not aware about any of this, I went to reception to check if something is wrong and they told me I have been terminated, like SERIOUSLY!
I was shocked and deeply disappointed when I heard that my employment was terminated abruptly despite my intention and commitment to serve notice period. This action was unexpected and has put me in a challenging position.
Now my manager is calling and asking me to draft an email from my personal email stating that I won't be able to service period becuase of medical and personla reasons, which was not the case at all.
He is trying to coverup for himself becuase if I accept that there will no questions on him and it will come to me that it was me who was not able to serve notice period.

The only good thing is the fact that nobody bothers you post shift hours.
Dislikes
Extreme graveyard shifts that take a huge toll on your mental and physical health.
Toxic competition where your own colleagues try to bring you down.
There are a thousand other things that would make you not work with them.
